Craggy Range Luxury Vineyard Retreat

The Syrah Cottage was superb. Glorious views of Te Mata peak and surrounding countryside. Obliging and efficient staff helped make our four night stay a real treat. Great breakfast. Shared dinner was excellent with a wide variety of tasty dishes. The Wine Tasting experience with Kevin was informative. THANK YOU Craggy Range. PS Dinner at Mary's was the best fish dinner we have enjoyed.

Idyllic break away in a lovely 2-bedroom villa, with fire for those chillier nights. Well stocked with all you need for a short break - even an outdoor socket for the EV! Morning breakfast was tasty & with the restaurant on-site for dinner it was a perfect spot to explore Havelock North by bike - visiting the local vineyards.

The cottage was gorgeous - clean, funky, had everything we needed. Loved the fire. Beautiful bathroom, comfy beds. The breakfast was made up of local produce and very generous - and topped up each day which was great. Beautiful complementary bottle of Syrah. The wine tasting with Damian was conversational, informative and fun. What was even better was how well we were looked after when I became sick. A caring and attentive team. Thank you.

Fantastic venue and surroundings. Aroha lodge was immaculately clean. Room service was excellent. Food was amazing at in house restaurant. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Would love to come back again soon with family and friends for more wine and food.

Craggy Range accomodation is absolute quality. From the breakfasts left in the fridge each day for the guests to the comfort of the beds, it truly is a luxurous stay. We have now stayed there 5 times and it never gets tired. the staff are very friendly and generous with their time. I have nothing but good things to say......

We stayed in the Chardonnay Cottage. It was a wonderful retreat, comfortable and simply elegant. Check in was effortless and welcoming and everyone went out of there way to look after us. Breakfast was excellent and as promised. Fresh preserves and homemade marmalade; top notch!

Fantastic stay, as always. This time we had Merlot Cottage, amongst the vines. Love the fire - made everything so cosy. Breakfast was yummy. The accommodation was perfect for two couples to chill out in. The Wine tasting experience was first class, with a tour of the winery added.

Awesome stay at the Merlot cottage. Damian gave the best wine tasting and tour we've ever had. Sharing menu at the restaurant was excellent. The cottage had a great vibe, delicious provisions and loved the fire! We'll be back again for sure.

The accomodation was ideal for us, extremely comfortable, well laid out and loved the woodfire. Unit was cozy, warm and spacious. Outlook was good (not amazing, partly due to some landscaping work, diggers etc so obviously temporary and not a major issue). We chose to dine in the restaurant both nights, it was dark walking to and from our accomodation and there was no external lighting which was a bit odd as I could see pathway lights were available but not switched on. The service at the restaurant was outstanding, I don’t say that lightly. Very friendly, attentive and we were almost made to feel like family. The food was also very good, although very much a fine dining only approach. Wine options were surprisingly well priced and very good. We enjoyed the complimentary wine tasting experience, although while we were entitled to the basic wine package based on our accomodation booking, we probably would have upgraded to the premium option (and paid the diff) but we weren’t offered the choice. If you just want to have a glass of wine during the afternoon to appreciate the beautiful surroundings, the restaurant is closed and the only option is the wine tasting area which can be very busy and not the ideal atmosphere we were looking for, so we decided to have a wine from our room which was perfect, but does expose a gap in the offering, especially for the price you pay to stay. Overall we really enjoyed the experience, we paid a premium price and had premium expectations that were mostly delivered upon.
