They do not respect customers...even now, I still so not receive back my deposit after 10 days even I call 3 times already....very very bad

Disappointing- Not worth it.
I went to the Marriott Northlake because the location was perfect as being close to Mercer University. Despite other hotels being around, I picked the Marriott because it's supposed to be better than the others that were around. Well, I was wrong. The a/c in the room wasn't working to the point me being drenched in sweat woke me up every night. The internet went out on the 2nd night and getting connected was impossible. There were a few guests in the lobby with the same complaint.
Pros: there was plenty of parking and the have access doors around the building so it doesn't matter where you park you don't have to necessarily go through the lobby.
There are plenty of stores and restaurants nearby.

I checked in online because I knew that I was going to arrive for the first night at a very late hour. When I got to the property at 2:00 AM to get the keys, I had to wait and check-in all over again. A room had NOT been assigned to me yet. When I got to the room, the bathroom sink had a filthy dirty towel on the sink and an empty toilet paper roll on the ground. I went back to the reception desk to change rooms. The 2nd room had issues also. The bathroom floor was dirty and one of the double beds had crumbs within the sheets. It was so late, that I decided to stay in that second room. My roommate cleaned the bathroom floor herself. The Starbucks had very limited hours. The staff were not horrible, but not that friendly either.

Not a real Courtyard
I’m not sure how long this place has been a Courtyard by Marriott, but clearly not very long. It’s being updated, my room was 90% finished but there were a few items that were obviously not. My daughter’s room on the 2nd floor was, in her words, a trip back to the 90s. The rate was very good for a Courtyard but there were several places nearby with a similar rate and equally nice brands. They also had a couple of charges automatically applied that were definitely not in the manner of a Courtyard

On 3/9/25 - They turned customers away because of a system malfunction, leaving people homeless for the night. Instead of figuring out which rooms were empty and accommodating to their best abilities. This is difficult for people who prepaid as they have to fight for a refund and prove they never checked in. With no solution from the staff.

Nice hotel and employees very friendly and professional, with special "shout out" to front desk: Melinda and Minta (sp?). The hotel has been undergoing major renovations - lots of positive progress since last visit.Nice hotel to stay in and excellent location
