Our room was a two story thatched roof structure open to a beautiful view from above of the valley and hills stretching out to the ocean. Breezes kept it very comfortable. The food was delicious and the staff was warm and friendly and made you feel very welcome. I would recommend a stay at Tubagua very highly.

There were only 3 positive things from this place, the staff service, the food and the views. Beside that, it is to expensive for what it offers. The place feels and look like abandoned, it needs maintenance urgently. Besides the administration do not have control over their pets, I like pets, but having a cat constantly jumping on the table and trying to eat straight from my plate doesn't feel good, also the dogs jumping in the swimingpool and drinking from it, it is not a good thing either, one can get a bacteria or a parasite or something. Again, the swimingpool need urgent maintenance. And last, it is an ecologic place, but again, the lack of maintenance allow flogs, spiders and other species to get into your bedroom, which also doesnt feel nice. They need to clean the sorrounding of the Palupas and Casitas

Alles Positive, was hier über diese Lodge geschrieben wurde, können wir bestätigen. Auf unserer DR-Rundreise war dies eine der schönsten Unterkünfte mit dem besten Essen und dem freundlichsten und hilfsbereitesten Team. Wir wären gerne länger geblieben - vielleicht beim nächsten Mal.

Friendly hosts, beautiful location and delicious food! The hike was informative and great, but would be challenging for someone with health issues (e.g. bad knees). Glamping experience, and we loved the porch front of the cabin. A must stay for anyone who visits Puerto Plata area, and great for families.

Fantastic mountain getaway to a family run oasis overlooking fields of palm trees and the ocean. The staff was helpful, friendly, and especially talented in the kitchen - dinner was quite the feast! Loved chatting with Tim, who started the project and has created various sustainable tourism ventures in the surrounding communities, and his daughter who has taken over the business. Thank you for sharing this space!

L'endroit est vraiment fantastique et pour plusieurs raisons: 1) les chambres sont vraiment ouvertes sur et intégrées dans la nature... un vrai plus ! 2) Tacha / Jessie (sr et jr) (et Tim) sont extrêmement accueillants et nous font nous sentir chez nous dès le premier instant... nous sommes reçus comme des amis et non comme des clients 3) Les repas sont vraiment très bons et ils proposent une formule avec les 3 repas qui est bien pratique 4) Les excursions qu'ils proposent avec des guides locaux sont EXCEPTIONNELLES... Nous en avons fait 2 avec Juani (un guide local qui a vécu toute sa vie à Tubagua): un hike vers une cascade avec explications de la nature ainsi que la découverte des oiseaux de tôt matin... les 2 étaient INCROYABLEMENT enrichissantes tant sur le plan humain que sur le plan des découvertes
