Yutorelo Garden Kitakaruizawa

We stayed in a twin room with a garden on the first floor for two nights with our dog. It's not exactly spotless, but it has plenty of dog amenities such as a dustpan, deodorizing spray, and pet sheets, and there's also an indoor dog run, making it a great place for dog lovers. The hot spring is colorless, transparent, and odorless, so it doesn't have much of a punch, but it's a weak alkaline simple spring, so it feels good on the skin and is very soothing. The food wasn't fancy, but it was just the right amount for a senior couple and was delicious. The staff were also kind.

There's nothing wrong with the building being old, but they cut corners on regular cleaning and maintenance. They didn't pay attention to replenishing amenities, they didn't clean the room well (empty bottles were left under the TV stand), and most importantly, the room stinks. When I turned on the air conditioner, it smelled awful, so I turned it off right away. It was described as a special dinner, but I personally found it disappointing. After leaving the inn, I tried to think back on the good things about it, but all I could remember were the bad things. They say there's a shortage of staff in the industry, but I'll never stay at an inn like this again.

There was still snow all around, so it was a nice atmosphere for a trip before Christmas. I only stayed overnight with breakfast, but the breakfast was delicious. Coffee and drinks were available all day long in the guest lounge, which had a fireplace and a billiards pool. It's not particularly luxurious, but it's clean. It was vacant on a weekday, and the bath was open until midnight, so I was able to relax. I stayed at a prefectural resident discount, so I got a good deal. The room I stayed in was clean, but it seems that they've renovated everything else. Good value for money.

2021年秋に訪れました｡ペット連れだったためか､当日ホテルから電話が掛かってきて､夕食の時間と場所の確認が来たのですが､ペット連れで食事はテラスのみとのことだったので､テラスでの食事は寒くないか確認したところ､｢寒くないですよ防寒着の貸し出しも有りますよ｣と言われたので信じてガーデンテラスでの夕食を予約したのが間違えでした｡ 夕食会場に行くと､寒いし風は吹いているしで最悪の環境で､早速防寒着を借り食べようとしたのですが､食事が出始める前に凍えるような寒さになり､スタッフの人に余りも寒いので犬を部屋に置いて来るから､室内で食べさせて欲しいとお願いしたところ､室内は満席と言われ､では持ち帰りは出来ないか､冷めてても良いので後で室内で食べさせてくれないかとお願いしたが､どちらも出来ない､食事を一度に持ってくるから早く食べて欲しいと言われ､仕方なく極寒の中食事がスタート､スープ､鶏肉など暖かい食べ物が出てくるが､3分もせずに冷え切りった､､､いや､冷蔵庫の中にあるような食事をとらされました｡4人で行きましたが､余りの寒さに内3人は途中で室内に撤収､最後は嫌がらせのシャーベット･･･｡ 余りにもひどい対応だったので､チェックアウト時にフロントスタッフにご意見ご要望の紙に一連の状況を書いた紙を渡すも､8ヶ月たった現在お詫びのメールすら来ず｡揉み潰されたのかなと思っています｡ こんな嫌がらせの様なホテル初めてです｡ 二度と利用しません｡
