Falkensteiner Family Hotel Montafon - the Leading Hotels of the World

The hotel opened in 2022 and is therefore very modern. The smooth transition from the reception to the children's play area to the bar/dining area is great and allows you to keep a good overview. The children can move around everywhere on their own (almost) safely, so that parents can stay seated at the table and finish their meal. The food was varied and we enjoyed it very much. Although there was also a buffet in the evening, it was of the highest quality. A buffet allows both children and parents to choose the food they like best. There is a bottle of mineral water with and without carbonation on the table, which you can also reorder free of charge. All other drinks were subject to a charge. The snacks should also be mentioned here, which were very extensive and delicious (salad buffet, vegetables, starchy side dish, chips or similar for the kids, dessert). The rooms are perfect for families with a separate children's room. The staff were always friendly and helpful (for example when we asked for a fall protection barrier), even if they sometimes had to speak English, which didn't bother us. The pool and spa area is also modern, beautiful and offers something for everyone. Two or three (a very small one in the baby pool) water slides for the children, a large pool that also has an outdoor section, a family sauna and the adults-only spa area on the upper floor. In the evenings there was a children's disco for the children every day and then there was a cinema. The children could get their own popcorn, which they really enjoyed. The hotel rents out e-bikes with child trailers and children's e-bikes for older children. For babies there is the Biberonia station, where you can find and help yourself to Aptamil, baby food, microwave, fruit, bottle warmers, etc. The changing station is also super practical, as it has both wet wipes and diapers available. As a parent, you really don't have to carry anything with you when you leave the hotel room. Great! Overall, it was a great stay at the Falkensteiner Montafon. We will definitely come back.

Based on a recommendation from friends, we spent a week in the Falkensteiner Montafon with our kids (2/4). We spent a lovely week in this modern hotel, but our expectations of a 5-star hotel with a focus on kids were not met in every dimension. Room: Our deluxe family suite was big enough and offered plenty of storage space. Unfortunately, the second shower was useless as there was no water pressure with hot water. But that didn't bother us. Otherwise, the room offered all the amenities you would expect in such a hotel, including a lovely, large balcony with a wonderful view. Childcare: inexplicably, this was the biggest weak point for us. In the toddler area (0-3 years), there was a caregiver who didn't pay any attention to the children at all. This meant that we couldn't leave our daughter - so we had to say goodbye to the 1-2 half-days of wellness we had hoped for. It was a little better in the 4+ area, although no one there approached our kids and greeted them - they were simply "let in" and then left to their own devices. After 15 minutes we had to pick them up again because our youngest was crying (admittedly we didn't have the easiest children this week :) ). Activities and surroundings: The direct shuttle to the Golm middle station was great and our children loved it. The amazing toboggan run starts from there (tickets for 2 adults and 2 kids around EUR 48!) or you can take the gondola further up the mountain. Also nearby is the Silbertal valley with all kinds of hiking trails. You can also rent a buggy from the hotel, which we used. Otherwise, the lobby offers various activities for the kids (computer games, gym, table tennis, billiards, table football, climbing tower and room, etc.). Everything was great fun, but some of it was in a state that corresponded to the rush of children (broken nets in the goals, tips of the billiard cues missing, etc.). All in all, the lobby is extremely loud and hectic - there is a constant hustle and bustle, as all activities take place in a relatively small space. Accordingly, the noise level is very high. The bar is integrated into this games room, which has advantages and disadvantages. The bathing area is very nice, but quite crowded in the afternoon. The pools are barely waist-deep for adults, but swimming is difficult anyway due to the mass of people in the pool. The outdoor area is quite manageable with a water feature, a marble run and a small playground, and the condition of the water feature and marble run (ball EUR 2) is somewhat worn - probably due to the weather. Food: A buffet is served in the morning, at lunchtime and in the evening. The dining room is also loud and hectic, but this is bearable in a children's hotel. We stayed in this wonderful hotel for 4 nights. The food: Open buffet. Everyone can eat as much as they like. There was a large selection and the food tasted very, very good. (Except for the soups, which were very watery and bland) The rooms: Were very clean. The staff greeted us every time and were always helpful. We had the Grand Delux room. The beds were very comfortable and the room climate was pleasant. The bathroom and toilet are separate. There was enough space to store clothes. However, the seating area took up too much space in the room and was not very usable. Better to have something a bit smaller but still usable. The spa: Was really, really good. My wife and I had a total of 4 massages and they felt very good. Special praise goes to Rosa. I was so relaxed that I fell asleep. Thanks again for the wonderful massage. Children: We have 2 children aged 4 and 1.5 years. They both had fun but we didn't. That is also our biggest criticism of this hotel. The care was bad. This definitely needs to be improved. Children aged 0-3 are only looked after by prior arrangement from 10 a.m. to noon and from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Unless you pay an additional 35 euros per hour, can they then stay longer or earlier? Sorry, this is an absolute joke for a hotel that advertises for families on parental leave and children. For some play programs, there were up to 25 children in the daycare and there were only 3 carers present. If the children are old enough and don't need care, there are enough play options that are also a lot of fun. Otherwise, unfortunately not recommended for babies or toddlers up to 4. Surroundings: One of the biggest advantages of the hotel is the climbing park, which was a lot of fun, and the toboggan run. Really great. There is also a small outdoor playground and a leisurely stroll around the reservoir is also recommended. Water park: Was also great. The pool area was very clean and there were plenty of comfortable areas to lie down. There was also a small family sauna and water slides for adults and children. The hotel was really pleasant and nice despite the childcare. We were in the hotel with friends, so the stay was very pleasant and we were able to share the childcare between us.

We were passing through and stayed at the hotel for one night. We already knew the hotel from last year and spent our holidays there. The hotel offers an excellent atmosphere for families. The staff were friendly and attentive, unfortunately the staff in the dining room only spoke English, which bothered us a bit. The food is always buffet style, it is delicious and of good quality. We think the reception hall is the best thing about the children's hotel. Both children and adults can choose from a variety of games, which makes for lots of fun and entertainment. Overall, it is an ideal place for a relaxing and entertaining stay. Everything in the same place. The bar, the Falky, the lobby. For example, you can order a drink and play billiards at the same time, and our child was at the cinema or on the climbing wall, etc. Everything in the same place. This meant that our child was very safe and independent when out and about, it felt like home. The pool area with the infinity pool and the slide was actually great, but we would have liked the water to be a bit warmer, we were always a bit chilly. We would be happy to come back.

**Outstanding hotel with excellent service and first-class amenities** I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel "Falkensteiner Montafon" and spending four wonderful days, it was an all-round great experience. From the moment I arrived until I left, everything was perfect. **Check-in and reception:** Check-in was smooth and quick. The reception staff were extremely friendly and helpful, immediately offering me a refreshing drink and informing me about all the hotel's amenities. The lobby itself is tastefully decorated and exudes a welcoming atmosphere. Especially for children, there is a huge slide with an incredible number of ways to let off steam! **Room:** My room was spacious, modern and extremely clean. The bed was incredibly comfortable and the linens were of the highest quality. I had a breathtaking view of the mountains (depending on the location of the room), which made my stay even more enjoyable. The room's amenities left nothing to be desired: a large flat-screen TV, a well-stocked minibar, and two luxurious bathrooms with high-quality toiletries. **Food and drink:** The breakfast buffet was simply outstanding. The selection was varied and plentiful, from fresh fruit to pastries to hot dishes, all of the highest quality. I also had the opportunity to eat dinner in the hotel's own restaurant, and the culinary experience was excellent. The service was attentive and professional, and the dishes were creative and delicious. The snack from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., which is included in the price, was also super varied and replaced the lunch that is usually served from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. If you wish, and for an additional charge, you can also order food from the a la carte whenever you want. Very great! **Leisure activities:** The hotel offers a variety of leisure options, including a first-class gym and a beautiful wellness area with sauna and pool. I was particularly impressed by the infinity pool with panoramic views, which is perfect for relaxing after a long day in the mountains. **Service:** The service at the Hotel "Falkensteiner Montafon" is second to none. Every member of staff I encountered was friendly, professional and always ready to make the stay as pleasant as possible. It was the little details and attentions that made my stay unforgettable. Special thanks to Zoran and Tetiana from the bar, who sweetened our stay with the best cocktails and the Falkyland team (Nina and Marie, but also the others!), who looked after our children so lovingly and with extraordinary patience! **Location:** The location of the hotel is ideal, central but still quiet. There is the Golm cable car with many opportunities for hiking or to the Alpine Coster Golm (highly recommended!!).
