The environment is warm and the room is big enough. The breakfast is good. There are school supplies boxes, swimming pools and carnival halls for guests. The front desk staff is also very nice. The experience is very good

The surrounding environment of the hotel is beautiful, the hotel breakfast is very rich, but the coffee is not very good, there is no fresh juice. Hotel restaurant meals taste good. The bathroom decoration is average.

Perfect hotel for our first family ski trip. Ideally located, right on the slopes. We had a family room with one double bedroom and 2 beds in the living area (both small double/single and a half in size) and plenty of room for storage and drying ski gear ( sadly not the best view though). You also get a locker down in the locker room for all your ski gear. The restaurants served a range of food, all of great quality and although it got busy at peak times, everything was replenished quickly. You do have to book each night and several days ahead if you want the pizza or brasserie options. We also went to the diner for one evening and the kids loved the milkshakes. All the staff were incredibly polite and friendly. Must give a special mention to what I believe was their manager, Rafaela. Our return transfer failed to turn up, but she was straight on the case ringing the bus company, other hotels and ringing ahead to the airport. She managed to get a replacement mini bus and was literally in the back of the trailer loading our luggage so that we might make the flight. She was then continuing to liaise with the airport on our journey and they agreed to hold the plane for us. Truly amazing service and we were all so grateful. Thank you for a perfect holiday xx

Excellent stay in Trysil. We got a large room compared to other hotels. Good beds gave sleeping quality, and with few guests, the hotel vas very quiet. Also, the breakfast was very good !

Third time, and still love the location for a bike trip. Good for kids with bowling and swimming in the hotel.

The Radisson Blu, Trysil is a big but attractive hotel a short 5 min walk uphill to the resort centre. We were really impressed by it. It has a huge open foyer, with indoor fire pit, impressive art and three story high ceiling. It seems to keep its lighting quite low throughout the hotel creating a warm, calm vibe. Relaxed, chilled music is played in the lobby. Reception staff were friendly and efficient. We had a Family Room overlooking the beginner slopes and the mountain. Gorgeous view. The room was spacious with two pull out beds made up in the living room area, separate spacious bathroom with shower and a separate double bedroom. It was ideal for us. The hotel has three restaurants; the high end brasserie (Brasserie T) and a pizzeria (La Piazza) as well as the buffet restaurant (Hill Restaurant) and one of the best decorated cafe's I've been to (Mt Mocha). If you are staying at the hotel you get 10% off your food if you show a QR code. We didn't eat at the brasserie as it's not really our kind of food but a friend said it was really good. We ate at La Piazza - the pasta was excellent as was the Caesar salad but the two pizzas were undercooked. We mentioned this and they were immediately taken off the bill and replacements offered. The breakfast was excellent. Lots of choice, well presented and really fresh. No made-to-order eggs but that didn't bother us. The buffet area is low lit and really calm, the best way to start the day :-) The hotel has a bowling alley (which we didn't use), a games room - a good array of games like air hockey, a basketball game, and driving games. You buy tokens from the reception area by the bowling alley. Not expensive. You can also pay for an all-you-can-eat, make your own burger buffet down on this level. It;s an American diner style, but we didn't fancy this. On the same level you have access to the expansive swimming pool area, Two pools, a jacuzzi, a FlowRider (surf thing) and a climbing wall where you fall into the water. There are huge glass windows looking out onto the snowy slopes. Awesome. There is also a really nice looking spa but we didn't use this. We felt that these facilities make it a brilliant place for families as the lifts shut at 3.30pm so lots of time to kill before dinner. The lobby had a great atmosphere in the evening, relaxed drinks and families playing card games. We struggle to understand why some people don't rate this hotel very highly. We felt it offered everything you could want - with a smile and charisma. If we had to be really fussy, we would say the only two things we would change is for the bathrooms to be updated to look more modern and in keeping with the overall hotel style and for the hotel to be a little less warm! Although we could keep our room cooler using the thermostat so it didn't bother us too much. I would not hesitate to book the Radisson Blu and I would seriously consider Trysil, Norway for your next family ski trip. It was brilliant in every way :-)
