Rude staff, cold & uncomfortable accommodation.
The room was stone cold when I checked in, the radiator was not on and I couldn’t turn it on. The stone floor was not heated so overall it was a very uncomfortable night. When I explained this to the landlady she explained how lovely and warm they were but they turn off the heating to the rooms at 10pm. She was rude and unhelpful. I was asked to nominate a time and breakfast order for the following day when I checked in, but the earliest they could offer was 08:30. The breakfast was good, but I would rather choose on the day and eat earlier.

Although it’s a bit out of the way, the accommodation was very nice, the food was excellent and the staff were delightful. Will come again.

Beautiful olde world thatched pub with only the sound of birdsong & the babbling brook that flows by the entrance. Friendly company and delicious top quality food - we had succulent beef wellington and homemade steak and ale pie. Delicious! The accommodation was warm and comfortable. Delighted to have found this perfect gem.

Superb country pub. Lovely room, very comfortable bed, nice bathroom. Excellent bar with good range of beers and excellent food. Special mention to the lovely waitress (sorry, didn't get her name) who looked after our dinner party of 16 with - totally at ease, professional, courteous and efficient!

Nice place leisurely pace!
Nice Inn reached by narrow lanes. Care needed! Good good and drink. Breakfast from 0830 onwards was very tasty and of good quality. Would revisit. Too far to reach Exeter for an 0900 meeting... So if Woking book you meeting a bit later as it is worth the extra drive to this place

Clean comfortable room, excellent evening meal with fantastic service
Beautiful country inn
I would highly recommend the inns directions not your sat nav as I did encounter many narrow lanes to arrive
Would definitely return when in the area again
