Lovely hotel in a decent location to get to via car or train. Hotel is about a 10-12minute walk away from station but be aware the walk is uphill. Food was good, service was good and room was in a very clean and looked after state.

I recently stayed at the County Arm Hotel and had a very pleasant experience. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful throughout my stay. The pub downstairs was also a highlight, offering great atmosphere and food.
The only minor drawback is that the hotel is a bit of a walking distance from the train station. While it should have been very affordable to take a taxi, my driver unfortunately took a detour, increasing the fare unnecessarily.
Despite this small inconvenience, I highly recommend the County Arm Hotel for its excellent service, cleanliness, and charming pub.

We have been visiting Truro this summer getting our house there ready for sale. After a previous stay at the depressing and unwelcoming big brand budget hotel a few miles away, we booked the similarly priced County Arms and were very pleased with the result. All the staff are delightful, the rooms well equipped and maintained. The pub next door is attractive and welcoming with traditional pub fare, appetising and well presented. Our one small niggle was that the variously priced breakfast menus were a bit confusing. However coffee and tea is served fresh at your table – no dreaded self-service machines, and the toaster produces perfect toast. What more could we want!

St Austell inn, what can i say?! A great pint if Tribute! Countryside views from the restaurant. Lovely helpful staff. Good standard of room and seemed clean if a little tired, especially the bathrooms. We had to be moved to another room when the shower leaked all over the bathroom floor! Restaurant great, amazing breakfast choices. Carvery excellent on a Sunday. Nespresso coffee machine in the room is an added bonus.near to the train station. I've been twice in 3 months. Definitely recommend.

Large room, comfy bed. Plenty of clothing space. Nice big shower area and instant hot water. Daily housekeeping made up beds replenished tea, milk, biscuits but unfortunately not sugar. Stayed for a week and sugar ran out on second day (approx 4 lumps on arrival) popped down to reception who apologised and obtained a few more from housekeeping cupboard, unfortunately only a few lumps left in there. Bought sugar from local shop. Nice large bar/restaurant with stunning views over countryside. Plenty of seating inside and out on tiered balcony. Really friendly staff. Reception lady (didn't get her name) provided cover sheet, scissors and tape when I had issue with car window not closing. Really appreciated her help - went above and beyond. Hotel within walking distance of Truro train station (10 min max slight downhill). Only 20 min walk into Truro centre.
