had another meal last night was excellent as always cant fault it the steak pie was massive the starter was as good as always highly recommend this place the staff are friendly if a bit slow looked like they were a bit understaffed

My partner and I both had the carvery which we both agreed was one of best we've had, portion sizes for meat were fantastic value, with as much veg and roasties as you like, everything about the meal was spot on, staff were very helpful friendly and quick to serve cannot recommend this place enough

Booked a table for the 13/06/2025 to arrive at 7pm and was shown to table 19 service was appalling, we waited 30 minutes before we could attract a member of staff to order a drink the we waited another 15 minutes before for the menus to arrive but they never did so we had to ask for those as well, finally we managed to order the food and the food was very nice I the asked for. Brandy and that never arrived either.all in all service the worse I have ever encountered while watching the staff stand and chat,

Stayed here several times and enjoyed comfortable rooms and choice of Carvery or main menu and good selection of real ales + growing selection of 0% ales and ciders. The only downside in our room 2 was no mirror near a power socket for mum wife to do her hair, other than that, highly recommend

Having spent years staying in National chain hotels this pub was exceptional & a breath of fresh air. Friendly helpful staff, comfortable bed & clean on suite rooms.
Breakfast was probably the best freshly cooked that I've ever had. 5* for me.
I would definitely recommend.

Had a great time staying here. The rooms were super cozy and had everything you need. Breakfast was great and the staff was super friendly. The pub also had a great atmosphere. Beergarden looks beautiful for warmer days. Would definitely recommend.

Great for a family of 5 with children too young for their own rooms. Very clean and tidy, comfy beds. Breakfast was nice

Lovely stay
Lovely inn,good food,bedroom was big and airy,but one of the pillows was mouldy,we had to leave before cooked breakfast,but the lad was very helpful,and we had takeaway bacon baps,nothing was too much trouble
