Hampton Inn Troy

This is just your basic Hampton Inn. The bed and pillow was comfy, the room was clean, the in room coffee was adequate, it had a walk-in shower (which seems to be the norm in a lot of hotels these days and I'm glad for that), the staff were friendly enough, it was quiet. The breakfast was okay, sausage patties were the only meat three mornings in a row and there were no hard boiled eggs (my fave). However, the eggs were quite good, scrambled one day, cheesy scrambled the next, and pre-made omelets the last day. Light and fluffy scrambled eggs and the little omelets were quite good. There wasn't any whole grain bread of any sort either. However, since it was the only hotel on our vacation that offered free breakfast I shouldn't be so picky.

We love the Hampton Inn. The are the best when it comes to Service, comfort and friendliness. Andy who was on The the desk was fantastic. He made sure we got the right room and even changed our selection as I had picked the wrong room. The breakfast they offer is a real breakfast along with eggs, sausage, toast and even waffles if you want them... you might pay a little more but the extras make up for it and will even save you money. Thank you

Management doesn't care about your safety My husband slipped and fell in the slick tub (in the HANDICAP ASSIST ROOM!!). Told the manager that we needed to be reimbursed for the tub mat that we were going to purchase ($9). They refused. Said we can throw as many towels down as we wanted!

This was not the Hilton / Hampton experience we have known so well through the years. Rooms are ok, but very dated. There is no reception and the breakfast is spotty. We asked for more of a. Item and the response was, "I don't have time." This was the only Troy Hilton product we found, but it was the worst I've seen in representing the brand.

Booked a King Standard room on line . At check In I had a good 5 min conversation with front desk girl how all hotels in other towns close were booked except for ADA rooms which I didn’t want ! She laughed as checking us in and even made comment they had plenty non ADA kings left ! Got to our room it was a ADA room . My husband called down and she said nothing she can do , all had left ! He even read email that stated type room we booked . Will Never stay again !!!!

For our long weekend, we opted to make the Hampton our base of operations for the sightseeing we wanted to accomplish as it sat almost equidistant from the three cities we planned on visiting, plus it had a pool. After checking in, we examined our room and found it completely acceptable and began to settle in. The linens on the beds were fresh, no stains were found on the bedding or carpets and the bathroom was well stocked. Even though the hotel is a short hop from the highway, it was very quiet in our room. Our only complaints were the pillows. All three of us found them to be exceedingly soft for our taste as we all prefer firmer pillows. Howerer, that seems to be the case in most of the hotels I’ve stayed at recently. Unfortunately they had to close the pool for some unexpected maintenance our second day there, but we did have the opportunity to enjoy some swimming. There are several restaurants within walking distance and several more a short drive away. The continental breakfast was quite good both days and the staff were phenomenal. We really enjoyed our stay there and wouldn’t hesitate to book again if visiting the area.
