Not a good experience. This location gives HIE a bad name. Yes, staff were helpful but our bed had hairs on it and the shower floor was rust stained. Yuck! Somebody is not doing their job correctly. There were no available rooms to move to, so we were given clean bedding and had to ***** our bedsheets with all the hair and put all the clean bedding on ourselves! Front desk person said there were no other rooms available to move to because many were not cleaned yet ~ and this hotel was not anywhere near being fully booked. No wonder! Yuck! Not an enjoyable experience! Upon check in, one of two elevators was not working and apparently has not been for weeks, according to previous reviews. As we were leaving the next day and got on the elevator with all our luggage that second elevator quit working!! That's not good. They have issues keeping the rooms and the elevators up to par. Yes, staff were nice and helpful but they need to take better care of this property. We'll never go there again!

Our room was on the third floor, east side of the elevators, I'm trying to remember the exact room number. I want to say 307. I have never stayed in a hotel room that smelled so bad. A mixture of mold and old smoke as if the room used to be for smokers. We tried to change rooms but they were fully booked. AC didn't help, I ended up with a migraine it was so noxious. Pull out couch mattress was also gross and stained. Also asked for a different mattress and was told they had none to switch it out and offered more sheets. Common areas, staff and pool were fine.
