This place is a Gem. It's like stepping back in time but with comfort. The rooms are clean and spacious decorated with antiques and packed with history. Modern bathrooms. Air worked great. Beds super super comfy and the pillows a dream. Owners perfect gracious hosts. Loved the energy there. Fantastic! Will be back and bring others for sure!

We stayed in the house that was once a hospital. It was so neat and cozy. Old, but cook and comfy. We stayed in a king room on the first floor overlooking the water. It was great. So quiet out here. No TVs in the room. Just relax and enjoy nature. Will be back.

This is one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. Everything was beautiful and super clean. The beds were very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful. My kids loved playing on the private beach and having a bonfire. My family had such a great stay that we wished we could have stayed longer.

We stayed here on the way back from Tahquamenon Falls, it is situated in such a peaceful location at Trout Lake. An idyllic location for a relaxing night. The building has such history and the owner pointed out the history of the ex hospital. Our room was no 7 which had a quaint quote on the wall outside the door, the room was beautifully presented and the bed was so comfy I slept all night for the 1st time on our road trip round Michigan. The mozzies are ABIT if a nuisance by the lake so just spray well. We sat outside in the evening watching the sunset over trout lake. If your looking for a relaxing stay in this area then please visit Birch lodge..... You won't regret it.

Room was immaculate, and the property was quiet and relaxing. We even took advantage of the kayaks.

Great accommodations! Beautiful views! Very clean! Owners were incredibly nice and helpful! I loved the old lodge looks. Great in winter too ride sleds up to your door in the motel.
