Fantastic Hotel with ******* Stars Service!! This Hotel is wonderful. 20 of 10 points!! All employees are very friendly, work extremely efficiently and fulfil each wish you might have. We spent 10 nights in penthouse with private pool. Everything was luxurious, very clean. Employees are proud to work in this Hotel and you feel that. Everything worked perfectly. Also transfers etc, done by Maurijet and organized by the Hotel. Just great!! Thanks again for absolute great service.

Just returned from a 10 night stay in this beautiful hotel. It's very small but absolutely perfect in our eyes, we didn't want a big noisy hotel. The staff here are fantastic & absolutely made our stay , they are all good fun but also so attentive & knowledgeable. From Shiva the manager who was very helpful to all the waiting staff . Dino, Daniel,Rowa, Axel, Simi, Ishfaq & Toukoor ( sorry if I've forgotten anyone) The room was big , more like a suite that over looked the beautiful beach & gardens. The beach was just white sands & clear seas with the hotel sunbeds & umbrellas. Always plenty & nobody grabs them in the morning & goes out for the day ! Take a snorkel as there are lots of fish out by the reef , also beach shoes as it is a bit corally entering the sea . Also we booked a couple of days out with a lovely guy called VJ ( Va Vavoom tours ) he comes along the beach daily & sorted us out two fantastic days out at a really reasonable price. Finally the food ....well what can I say, absolutely divine! We were all inclusive but it wasn't a buffet, you ordered your lunch & dinner at breakfast & it was just such great quality & presented beautifully,they will also tweak it if you ask . All in all an amazing holiday at one of the most beautiful places, would highly recommend if you want a small but absolutely perfect boutique hotel. As I lie on my sunbed enjoying the sunshine overlooking the clear blue sea of the Indian Ocean it’s time to reflect on our week at Le Cardinal. Our actually eating would probably be about 4.5 but obviously this isn’t an option on Trip Advisor and it’s not far on the excellent front of house staff (and I mean excellent) to score them as a 4. Firstly the negatives…. Hardly any….Wine is a bit rubbish, unless you pay for the supplemented stuff and the food can be a bit samey but they do have a special meal every day. The main negative to the point of annoyance is Shiva, the Reception Manager, and his constant need to mention about putting a review on TripAdvisor. We’ve been here 7 days and he has mentioned it 6 times, one as soon as we checked in. Now for the positives….honest too many to mention. The food is excellent french cuisine, the rooms lovely and spacious ( we got an upgrade to a Deluxe Room), the grounds are lovely with local flora and forna in full bloom and the local wildlife is so beautiful. The setting is idyllic and you look out on the beautiful Indian Ocean. But the absolutely best thing about this hotel is the front of house staff….they are out of the world and I can’t speak highly enough about them. They get to know you, you get to the know them and they become a massive part of your life for the week, they are your Mauritian family. They can’t do enough for you and are such lovely people. So Thanks You….You’ve made our week.

We returned from a fantastic 2 week holiday at this lovely resort. Our room was more of a suite & had a stunning sea view from the balcony. I notified the hotel of my reduced mobility & the room they allocated was perfect on the ground floor & a very short walk to all the amenities. The restaurant was lovely , food excellent & the staff offering table service were lovely. Just something to be aware of if you’re all inclusive some of the items on the menu attracted a supplement. Personally this was not an issue as the food was of such an excellent standard. The setting was idyllic & we truly felt we were in paradise. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you want a peaceful relaxing holiday looked after by lovely staff who can’t do enough to make your stay perfect.

We arrived on the Friday morning/early afternoon, about an hour and fifteen minute transfer in private car ( big longer return journey as had a couple pick ups to do) got to hotel and the lady at reception sat down with us, went through how the hotel operates for meals etc. Got shown to our room on the first floor, lovely corner suite, circular bath in the middle which was nice but at 6’3 wasn’t very practical for me but did try it. To the left was large shower, 2 sinks and the wardrobe/dressing area and toilet through a sliding door. Other apse of the room was a large comfy bed, setee and balcony which was lovely to sit on morning of night. Through the reception area is the restaurant, to the pool and down into the beach where the hotel has reserved sunbeds just for the hotels guests, which are covered by a security guard to watch over bags etc. comfy sunbeds only a few meters from the ocean which was lovely to swim in although a bit coral on entry ( Recommended slip on beach shoes) Locally produced drinks are available from the bar just before you go to the beach. Breakfast was fruit, yogurt, eggs of your choice, sausage, bacon etc, toast, pastries, cereal, you’re asked what you’d like and it’s freshly cooked for you, tea, coffee juices as well. After breakfast you’re asked to choose lunch and dinner, pizza, burger, panini, chicken skewers and desserts. Dinner there’s always a daily special which you can mix and match from the normal menu. We were never disappointed, and the dinner food was outstanding, restaurant quality every time. The staff play a huge part of this hotel, Daniel, Raza and the others, didn’t get all names were so attentive, polite, helpful and friendly no matter what time of day. There’s a sister hotel across the road which you can use, we didn’t eat there as it was way busier than le cardinal. The gym was adequate for a good workout, mulitgym and a rack of free weights, couple benches, treadmills and bikes. There’s a man called VJ who we booked a couple trips with, you’ll find him on the beach, value for money trips and well organised. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for rest and relaxation, very quiet but was very welcoming, I’d deffo return 🇲🇺✈️
