We visited for meals, the first time was so good we returned again. The staff were attentive and cheerful. The steak pie is a must. Altogether very enjoyable both times

This was my first time staying at the hotel. As a solo female guest, I was given the friendliest of welcomes and offered help with my bags. The room itself was immaculate. I chose to have dinner in the hotel, which was excellent. Most importantly, the staff chatted away and made me feel welcome. I was very impressed and would happily visit again.

The Old Loans has been redecorated and is very trendy / tasteful. Nice atmosphere inside and beer garden at front is an added bonus. Food is always delicious & portions are good. We go a few times a year as a family (usually because we get gift vouchers for Christmas). We look forward to eating there. However, what I would say is that the menu is limited and could do with more bar meal options…… Mac n cheese, lasagne, gammon steaks, peppercorn chicken etc. food prices are a few pounds higher per meal than other similar venues and I thought the soft drinks were pricey.

Nice restaurant Good food Excellent staff Reasonable price We had a late booking at 2100 and were the only people inside the restaurant on this very warm summer evening Food was pretty good although I think being the last customers the quality was not quite up to speed as my dish was a little undercooked in parts (potato slices were a little too hard) and our chips seemed like the end of a batch being a little off and crispy That said we still had a nice time and would go Mack again

Visited here for the first time. Sat outside with husband and two dogs in the little beer garden as it was a lovely sunny day. Had the mussels to start and they were the biggest mussels I have ever had, lovely food and great service. Will definitely be back.

The staff were brilliant, nothing to much trouble. Rooms were spotless and well equipped. Food plentiful and varied. When the roof garden is finished it will have beautiful views out towards the sea. Good car parking. Nice sheltered outdoor seating area. Well placed to visit this beautiful part of Scotland
