Having travelled for 2 days we arrived at the hotel which I have to say is in a totally unspoilt area of the Tirol. The welcome wasn't great keys given to us and direction of stairs and lift pointed to, this was just the start of our intro to the owner who obviously knew no English and even failed to say even morning in German - yes German this area of the Tirol is predominately German speaking (all to do with the first world war). The food was cooked daily by the young chef and I have to say he certainly tried as did the loan waitress Katrina who both strived to deal with a group of nearly 40 plus one our two other guests. Food was typically salad, followed by a pasta course, then a main course and then a sweet. Coffee not include and cost nearly 3 euros a cup and there are no facilities in room to make a hot drink (suggest you take a travel kettle) Highlight of the week was the trip up the mountain with the village guide Gunter who answered all our questions and when we got to the top made sure we had a great beer and home cooked food from the local shepherds house (in this area they keep the cattle in the houses over winter and move up to the mountain pastures in late spring. As a group we visited Trauttmansdorff Castle and gardens - absolutely fantastic and drove the apple orchards throughout the valley of this area - the blossom smelt great (10% of eating apples come from this area). We also had a guided tour around Bolzano very interesting and like the rest of this area no rubbish to be seen anywhere, another tour was to Riva del Garda and a boat trip to Limone both beautiful typical Italian towns. But the Hotel please try that bit more to make your UK customers feel welcome you would be surprised by the praise you can get for a welcome, daily greetings and a thank you for your custom.

Ein gutes Hotel in Südtirol zu finden ist nicht besonders schwer. Es gibt in der Gegend jede menge Unterkünfte. Allgemein zum Ludwigshof: es stimmt alles. Sehr nettes Personal, gute Zimmer, gutes Essen. Aber der Ludwigshof ist vor allem ein besonderer Platz für Motorradfahrer. *Jemand brauch Hilfe für die Planung von Tagestouren? Werner ist mit dem Laptop zur Stelle und lädt fertige Routen auf das eigene Navi hoch, oder stellt kostenlos Karten mit eingezeichneten Strecken zur Verfügung. *Jemand brauch einen neuen Reifen? Werner hat schon das Telefon am Ohr. *Maschine defekt? Werner springt in seinen Bus und ist schon unterwegs. *Fehlt ein Liter Öl oder eine Sicherung? Werner fragen! *Ausgerechnet im Urlaub streikt das eigene Bike? Werner hilft weiter und besorgt zur Not eine Leihmaschine. Besten Dank noch mal für die prima Ausfahrt und den Tip zum Crucolo! Es gibt einen großen Unterstand für Motorräder, eine Garage, Abstellplatz für Motorradanhänger, Waschplatz mit Dampfstrahler, Helmwaschplatz. Kleinere Reparaturen können, in der zum Hotel gehörenden Werkstatt, erledigt werden. Das alles, und der Super Service für biker , macht den Ludwigshof zu einem Top-Hotel für Motorradfahrer.

Hotel agréable sur un versant de montagne en bordure d'un charmant petit village,on y arrive après avoir gravi un petit col,qui offre de belles vues sur la vallée. On ressent que les gens y vivent entre paix et traditions. Nous y étions pour notre sortie moto 2016, car l'hotel est équpé pour ce genres de demande.Les chambres sont propres et nous avions eu celles avec balcon terrasse, super !! La cuisine est bonne et variées et on peut prendre un petit dej "costaud" si on se reveille avec un gros appétit. Le service est très sympatique et rapide.Pour ma part je n'ai pas utilisé l'espace wellness (avec vue sur la vallée) qui est dans un batiment à coté de l'hotel.

Wir waren fünf Tage mit unseren Motorrädern in diesem Hotel. Dieses Hotel ist auch hauptsächlich ein Motorrad Hotel. Es gibt Unterstellmöglichkeit für die Motorräder in einer lang gezogenen Pergola. Dort haben circa 30 Bikes locker Platz. Das Frühstück ist ausreichend und selektiv das Abendessen eine Wahl aus 2-3 Menüs Vorspeise und Hauptgang auch natürlich mit vegetarisch. An manchen Tagen war das Essen wirklich gut an manchen war es eher schlecht. Das Hühnchen gestern war überhaupt das letzte. Geschmacklich voll daneben und qualitativ bedenklich. Trotzdem war das Essen großteils in Ordnung. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt gut. Es ist ein drei Sterne plus Hotel. Der Chef ist sehr hilfsbereit freundlich und nett ebenso die Familie an der Rezeption. Das Personal ist ebenfalls nett und zuvorkommend wenn auch nicht immer die schnellsten. Alles in allem empfehlenswert. Allerdings nur wenn man die Stille am Berg liegt. In der Ortschaft gibt es einen Kaffee und einen kleinen Einkauf laden. Song muss man überall mit dem Auto oder Motorrad hinfahren. In die Stadt nach Bozen oder Meran sind es 30-45 Minuten. Für biker 100-prozentig empfehlenswert.

Great hotel. Very friendly , nice , polite and helpful staff. We will stay for 2 nights, se the Dolomittene by motorcycle, and We will be back. Possible next summer. Good food, exxellent service and this spot GOT IT all.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 32 Leuten hier und wurden herzlich bewirtet. Ein Frühstück vom Buffet mit allem was es braucht. Je nach Lust und Geschmack. Das Nachtessen waren 4- Gänge und war sehr gut. Ein Glas Wein dazu und es war super. Mein Zimmer war sehr ruhig mit einem bequemen Bett. Im Bad gab es sogar Dusch - und Handseife aus dem Spender. Einmal habe ich das Sprudelbad im Garten Geniessen können. War super nach einem Tag unterwegs. Truden ist auch ein tolles Wandergebiet, wenn das Wetter mitspielt. Für uns war es der Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge mit dem Car. Ich werde gerne wiederkommen und mich verwöhnen lassen.

one word: FANTASTIC hotel ...... after a long search we found this hotel where we spent a few days during the Christmas holidays and it was a wonderful experience. First of all the place, a small and characteristic village surrounded by nature and a hotel where everything is beautiful ..... We were lucky enough to stay on the top floor, spacious room (double bed, sofa, corner with chairs and table) attic with wooden beams and a beautiful covered balcony with armchairs where you can stay even when it snows to admire the fairytale landscape .... of the bathroom I remember that in addition to being modern and spacious it had a wonderful huge shower .... the whole hotel is newly furnished, and even the bed with the soft duvets is a fairytale,,, The breakfast and dinner room has a wide view of the valley, it is very nice and what can I say about the morning buffet, excellent and complete ... the dinner menu is varied and all the courses were excellent.... the cereal sandwiches handmade by them are simply fantastic, it was nice to see that after a little initial uncertainty, everyone reached into the bread basket several times, the only problem: they are addictive! The hotel also organizes various activities, we took part in the tour of the town after dinner with a nice gentleman who told us some anecdotes, then if we add the torches, the Christmas lights and the fact that it was snowing, it was even more beautiful.... What can I say, we had a great time, compliments also to the managers and all the staff, very kind and professional..... we hope to return again.....
