Best location great restored room with view at the river would definitely book again

We booked a superior double room, they moved us to the "apartment" (because of an overbooking issue on their system) but as you can see from the pictures, the bedroom is small and definitely not looking good and beautiful like the double rooms advertised on the various platforms. In addition, a supposed "luxury" bed & breakfast that sends you to local bars with a voucher to get breakfast, is everything but luxury. We complained, the staff didn't care, very simply. I am not usually writing tough reviews, but in this case I strongly recommend you finding another place: no value for money, poor breakfast, cold staff.

The hotel accepted our reservation, charged €270, and then refused to provide the room, citing the “owner’s decision.” They categorically refused to issue a refund, sending us to deal with Booking instead. This is blatant fraud: money taken, no service provided. Such behavior demonstrates complete disregard for guests. The only thing that works flawlessly in this place is charging your card.

We arrived late at night and had indicated at the time of booking that we needed a late check-in, since our flight was arriving at night. The hotel accepted our reservation, immediately charged our card, and then suddenly stated that they could not accommodate us. To our perfectly reasonable question — why accept the reservation and charge us if you are not willing to check in guests? — we received an astonishingly rude reply. Quote: “Do you understand? If your flight arrives late, you should not have booked with us at all.” Such arrogant behavior toward guests and outright fraud is shocking. The hotel not only failed to fulfill its obligations but also allowed itself an offensive tone. We have filed a complaint against this hotel with Booking. Strongly not recommended — you risk being left without accommodation and without your money.

Lovely room and view over the canal. Good location. Clean. Lighting was a bit of an issue whilst trying to do my make up and minimal plugs aswell for hair things (we were attending a wedding) these were really the only downfalls.
