There are free parking spaces available in front of the guest house. Getting into the house was easy, we found the key in a small locker. The building is located in a peaceful, quiet area. It is a spacious accommodation with a great public room with cold drinks in the fridge, delicious biscuits and hot coffee on the table, along with local brochures with various programs. The well-kept garden is stunningly beautiful with lots of flowers. The dining room is sunny and cozy, the breakfast is fresh and excellent. The rooms and the entire guest house are perfectly clean, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is huge and has a window as well. The souls of the guest house are three nice ladies who are always smiling and are communicative and extremely helpful. The neighbourhood is surrounded by beautiful greenery. Althofen is a friendly little town with good dining options, wonderful historical sights, close to Sankt Veit an der Glan, Klagenfurt (Reptilienzoo Happ is highly recommended to visit) and the Wörthersee. We had such a great time both at the Bed and Breakfast Mittelkärnten guest house and in the entire region of Carinthia. We hope to have a chance to be back some day.

Sehr schöne und liebevoll eingerichtete Unterkunft. Die Zimmer und die Betten sind gemütlich. Das Frühstück ist üppig und für alle Geschmäcker etwas dabei. Der Kaffee ist sehr lecker. Auf der Terrasse kann man entspannen. Die Nachbarschaft ist ruhig und auch im Haus wird auf Ruhe geachtet. Die Besitzer sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Komme gerne wieder !

Wie auch zuletzt haben wir uns sehr wohl und bestens betreut gefühlt; die schönen sauberen Zimmer, die sehr bequemen Betten und der Verwöhn-Moment beim tollen uns sehr abwechslungsreichen Frühstück unterstreicht warum das B&B Mittelkärnten unser Favorit in der Gegend Althofen ist. Birgit Schneider-Krassnitzer gelingt es hervorragend Ihren Gästen einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in familiärer Atmosphäre zu schaffen.

Mein Familienzimmer war großzügig, stilvoll eingerichtet und makellos sauber. Besonders angenehm: Bad und WC sind getrennt, die Dusche schön groß. Ein toller Start schon beim Check-in – man darf sich ein Begrüßungsgetränk aus dem Kühlschrank wählen. Das Frühstück ist wirklich herausragend: eine riesige Auswahl mit regionalen Produkten. Verschiedene Gebäcksorten, 16 Teesorten von Sonnentor, Superfoods fürs Müsli, Bananenmilch und eine beeindruckende Auswahl an veganen Optionen – und das sind nur einige Highlights! Es gibt noch so viel mehr zu entdecken. Alles ist liebevoll angerichtet, und obendrauf wird man noch gefragt, ob man Rührei, Spiegelei, Omelett oder ein weiches Ei möchte. Und das Beste: Ohne dass man danach fragt, gibt es sogar eine Jause für unterwegs! Die Gastgeberin ist einfach wunderbar – herzlich, aufmerksam und unglaublich gastfreundlich. Späte Anreise? Kein Problem dank Schlüsselsafe. Hier passt einfach alles – absolute Empfehlung!

Toller Aufenthalt! Absolut empfehlenswert!
Ein tolles, gemütliches Zimmer, alles sehr sauber und in top Zustand. Die Betreiberin ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sehr reichhaltiges Frühstücksbuffet, das keine Wünsche offen lässt. Wir haben uns von Anfang an zuhause gefühlt und unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.
Die Lage ist ideal für grössere und kleinere Ausflüge in der Umgebung.

Besonders schöne Zimmer und ein Traumhaftes Frühstück! Auch die Lage ist sehr ruhig, sowie das Personal extrem Freundlich. Große geräumige Zimmer welche super Sauber sind. Auch die Minibar ist immer ausreichend gefüllt! Der Regional Veranlagte Typ wird von den Angeboten am Frühstücksbuffet begeistert sein.
