O'Shea's Hotel

Our Evergreens Bowling group has a wonderful experience in this hotel on our annual visit to Tramore. A huge thank you to the very helpful and friendly staff, especially the ladies working in the Carvery on 10 July . You helped make our day trip very special and we cannot wait to return. The food was fresh and delicious, generous portions too, thanks ladies. The surroundings were very comfortable which we appreciated during the recent heatwave. Looking forward to returning to O'Shea's for a meal. Hope the brilliant staff will still be there with their friendly service. Definitely 4 star 🌟!!

Absolutely the worst hotel i’ve ever stayed in, i think they have a nerve expecting people to pay €170 a night to stay in this run down excuse for a hotel, the breakfast was disgusting. The minute we got there and went to their carpark at the rear of the hotel it was instant regret, under no circumstances book this hotel, buy a tent 😡😡😡😡

O'Shea's Hotel, Tramore, Waterford There is on Street parking around the hotel, but can be limited, and also to be aware in the Summer months, that on street parking has to be paid for. There is a free car park nearby on Turkey road and on the main street. The entire bar and toilets are on the ground floor, very suitable for people with buggies, wheelchairs, mobility scooters etc, with plenty of space Although O’Sheas is a traditional family run hotel, it has recently changed hands, but retains that same homely feeling. Minor sympathetic refurbishment has taken place, but other areas could do with updating, which no doubt will happen over time. The service here is brisk and ifficent, with plenty of Servers available. We opted for a bar meal, as opposed to eating in the restaurant, and we were seated and served in a prompt efficient friendly manner The food was spectacular. I ordered the Crispy Chicken strips whih were cooked to perfection, served with frozen chips, but they were well cooked. And there was a great quantity on the plate for €12.50. One portion of these would easily keep 2 children happy and well fed! The Bar food menu offers a great variety with traditional favourites, beef, curry, ribs salmon etc as well as pasta dishes, a selection of sandwiches and a great range of starters suitable for those just looking for a light bite The toilets here are easily accessible, but could do with updating, and although perfectly clean and well kept, there was a bit of hum in them as if the drains need attending to. Of the whole place, the toilets are probably the main place that would benefit from being refurbished and modernised All in all great food, great value for money, great service, and would certainly return here again to sample something else from their menu

Chicken wings the worse we've ever tried, poor quality and bruised inside, served warm not hot, the crispy coating was also disgusting altogether. The restaurant was unclean high level of dust on the side walls, easily visible to the eye it's easy to know it's not cleaned often. The toilets are an absolute disgrace both for a hotel and for an establishment that serves food, no soap, broken toilets, lack of toilet roll and string smell of urine. The only good thing about the establishment was the quality of the pints and of course the complimentary Mi-Wadi for children. I wouldn't be back however.

Had a fantastic 5 nights in O'Sheas. As a solo traveller I greatly appreciate the friendliness and personal touch of all the staff, from reception to the restaurant and everything in between the staff can't do enough for you. The food is great and the location is second to none, I could hear the surf break from my room when the tide was in which was bliss. Can't wait to go back, highly recommend.

We dropped into O sheas for a few drinks and said we'd get some dinner while we were there. My sister in law went up to the carvery to be told there was no potatoes for a few minutes so we said OK we'd wait. After a few minutes we went up to get some dinner we noticed the mashed potatoes looked like glue, sticky and wet. I opted for the jacket potatoes and thank god I did. None of my family could eat them. They said it was like glue that would stick to the roof. Flavourless and tasteless. We did complain but they just say sorry... I thought very bad form to the chef who thought it was OK to send out rubbish food like that and think no one would say anything. Not a place I would recommend.
