Ash Farm Country House

We have found a hidden gem and are already planning our next visit. On the doorstep of Dunham Massey and the canal so there are some lovely walks. Next door is a pub which serves great food and also has great staff. Finally the breakfast is fantastic as are the hosts, highly recommended...

A superb B&B with lovely character but everything you need for a good nights sleep and an excellent breakfast and more. Good location for NT Dunham Massey and the adjacent pub. What more can one want when travelling. We will be back if passing by again.

We have been staying at Ash Farm each July since 2013 with a break in 2020 for Covid19 We started off in room 2 with its 7-foot bed and from the next year onwards we have stayed in room 1 with its four-poster bed We chose room 1 as it is well appointed with a decent shower but also because it has 4 opening windows which given the increasingly hot summers allow for a gentle breeze – all this in addition to flatscreen TV – sherry – and decent wi-fi Another reason for staying with our choice is its location – just off the M56 – within walking distance of NT Dunham Massey – and next door to the Swan with 2 Nicks – as well as being close to Tatton Hall and the annual flower show in July The breakfast is another high point – the menu is extensive with locally sourced items and cooked to order plus fruits yoghurts and cereals a choice of juices and excellent coffee – you just need to leave extra time for the cooking As the Tatton Flower will not be returning until 2027 we unfortunately will not be returning immediately which is a shame as by now I would have booked room 1 for next July – but our thanks and good wishes go to David Jan and Christian for making us feel so welcome and giving us the Ash Farm experience – thank you

Property was in a lovely countryside setting a short walk from Dunham Massey with a very good pub next door. The garden room was a comfortable ‘home from home’ and a relaxing space after countryside and National Trust property walks. Staff (particularly David) couldn’t do enough to help us enjoy the experience which we found absolutely first class. Breakfast was brilliant and we couldn’t ask any more from our stay at Ash Farm. We had such a lovely stay here. The owners are very friendly and welcoming, and it is a lovely house. Breakfast is delicious and there are lovely touches in the rooms such as port.
