Very nice Japanese hotel with good service and facilities (public hot spring bath where women and men are separate and several private hot spring baths that I recommend to book in advance). We also had an amazing massage in the hotel spa. The down side would be that the hotel doesn't offer western beds (only Japansese futons) and that the personnel doesn't speak very good English (but are very nice and are trying their best to help)
Kinosaki Onsen is a town where traditional Japanese hot spring culture is still alive. Within this town, the “Miyama” is a special place where you can experience the peace of mind and the essence of Japanese culture.
The guest rooms at “Miyama” are available in a variety of types to meet the needs of our guests. In addition to traditional Japanese-style rooms, we also offer spacious rooms ideal for large groups, as well as rooms with beds that incorporate Western-style comforts. In addition, there are also special rooms of the highest quality for those who wish to spend a special moment. In every guest room, you will feel the hospitality and comfort that have been meticulously maintained.
The seasonal open-air baths will refresh your body and soul as you bathe under the stars or enjoy the moment the sunrise envelops you. In addition, you can enjoy a variety of delicious kaiseki cuisine using fresh ingredients from Hyogo Prefecture, each season with its own unique flavor and flair. Dishes using Matsuba crab, a winter specialty, and Tajima beef, loved around the world, are especially popular.
Kinosaki Onsen has six out-spa baths in the town, and visitors can enjoy a tour of the baths in yukata (Japanese bathrobe). Each has its own unique atmosphere, offering a precious moment to add color to your healing journey. At night, the soft light of the lanterns illuminates the town, creating a fantastic atmosphere.
The surrounding sightseeing spots are also not to be missed. At Kinosaki Marine World, visitors can interact with marine life and enjoy the beauty of nature. At Genbudo Cave, visitors can enjoy an adventure into the mysteries of geology. In spring, the cherry blossoms along the Ohkyo River brighten the town, and in fall, the mountains are tinged with the vivid colors of autumn leaves.
More than just a place to stay, “Fukayama” is a special place to savor Japanese traditions and culture. We will help make your stay in Kinosaki Onsen a memorable and special one through a variety of guest rooms, heartfelt hospitality, and the rich charm of the surrounding area.

Outstanding
CCanfordThe hotel is not far from the station and hot spring street, and can be reached by taking a shuttle bus from the station. When we arrived at the hotel because it was not check-in time, we stored our luggage first and the service was good. The food quality of the hotel's hot spring cuisine is excellent, the experience is good, and the room view is also very beautiful. The hotel's own hot spring is also very good. It is a very recommended hotel!
(The only flaw is that I submitted the opinion form but forgot to get the small gift 😂😂😂)
GGuest UserI have long dreamed of taking a hot spring bath in Kinosaki Onsen Town. It was so convenient to go there from Kanazawa this time. The famous hot spring town in Japan has fulfilled my hot spring dream. This Mikuniya surprised me even more! The front is not big, but there is a different world inside. There are four hot spring pools to choose from. The room is unexpectedly spacious and luxurious. I thought the Western-style cottage would be small, but it turned out to be surprisingly large. The functional areas are clearly divided and always clean and tidy. Living in the hot spring town, you can also enjoy the treatment of seven large hot springs at will. You can enter and exit at will with a small sign with a QR code. The most important thing is that it is only 200 meters away from the station, which is quite close and super convenient for travel!
GGuest UserI traveled with my parents. The hotel service was very warm and I really felt at home.
When we checked in in the afternoon, there was free afternoon tea.
For dinner in the evening, we had snow crab + Tajima beef, and very delicious ice cream!
I went to Gosho-no-yu and Ichi-no-yu in the town's hot springs, both were good.
I also took a bath in the hotel's small hot spring, and it felt very good to take a bath alone!
The hotel is highly recommended! One night stay with two meals, we stayed for RMB 4135 including tax.
The small towns in Japan are really good, with few people, beautiful scenery, and not so fast pace!
Ttravel-with-meWe had a fantastic stay at this Ryokan. The staff were so attentive and welcoming (Thanks to our room attendant, Suzan) We arrived a little earlier than check in but we could go up to the room and were provided with tea. The room was beautiful and the beds were prepared when we were eating dinner. We were shown how to wear the yukata and even had welly boots for the rainy weather. The food was the highlight, fresh seasonal ingredients (crab!) which was displayed like a piece of art. I wish we stayed longer, well worth the money!
AAnonymous UserThere is a shuttle bus to the station, the hotel environment is comfortable, and it has a hot spring. The bathroom design is very similar to the hot spring environment, and you can enjoy the riverside view while taking a bath.
AAigaigaiFirst of all, I would like to thank the housekeeper and customer service specialist of Ctrip for their great assistance when I encountered the unconventional situation of JR cancellation! For overseas travel, use Ctrip!
Secondly, let's talk about the hotel. Advantages:
1. The buffet has a rich variety. There is an older uncle at the front desk who is very enthusiastic to communicate with guests in English and Chinese. It feels like home.
2. The hotel room is also very large.
3. There are free drinks on the first floor at fixed times, although I didn't drink them 👆
Disadvantages:
1. You can't take a bath in the room, you can only go to the large bath on the first floor
2. There are no toiletries in the room. If you don't take them at the fixed time, the staff will take them away at dinner time
3. The quilt in the room is a bit small. I am of very ordinary height, and the length and width of the quilt are a bit lacking
Others:
The Ctrip page says that the bathing tax of 150YAN is paid at the store, but it is actually 450YAN. The description is wrong.
CCheng77Great location within walking distance to jr train station. Friendly reception although do not speak much English. Great healthy bento set for breakfast available for jpy700. Clean, efficient and simple hotel. Daily offer of free snacks or drinks. Washing machine and dryer available downstairs next to reception. Microwave is available for use too.
PPiwatUpon arrival, the hotel gave us 2 free tickets for aquarium next to the hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful with parking valet and our luggage. The room we were in had an amazing view and it is spacious. It’s a Japanese style room and the staff had to come to put out futon for us around dinner time. Communal bath is big with an outdoor onsen. We noticed that they use salt water in the bath and onsen instead of chlorinated water like many other onsen hotel we have stayed in the past. There are 2 restaurants in the hotel but they open rather late at 7 and 8 pm so we didn’t get to try them. Breakfast were the same the whole we stay but they are pretty decent so there is no complaints. I would consider this to be one of the best hotel we have stayed during our trip there.
KK LouThere is no breakfast nor dinner provided by this onsen hotel, and restaurants close a bit early. If you’re looking for an onsen meal, you maybe disappointed if you staying here. Beware if you’re a foodie.
The sound insulation is poor, please keep your voice down. Since the first night I arrived was windy and rainy, and the curtain for blocking the sun is made of bamboo, it kept hitting on the window all night long.
There is no elevators and the stairs is very steep, be careful if you bringing many luggages.
Although the servers do not understand English, they are very friendly and willing to help! Overall, I enjoyed a lot while the staying. Thank you!
AAnonymous UserEverything was good, but when I tried to pay the additional amount when checking out, they told me to pay even the room price I paid in advance when making the reservation, saying it was a 'tax'. After 5 minutes of us checking and finding out, they suddenly said to themselves, ”Oh,” and told me the amount to pay again. It was so
At first, I thought it was a mistake, but when I thought about it, I saw that in Japan, even for small mistakes, they apologize repeatedly and say Moshiwake Gozaimasu, but the employee never said a single word of gomennasai.
Are we Mistake? So, I guess we just said Hi My Steak and that because we are foreigners, we tried to eat the cash by ourselves, but if you read the review, don't live such a pitiful life. Really.
And if you are a foreigner who wants to go here, beware of the guy wearing glasses who looks like the manager.
