Very nice hotel! Although the room does not have a bathroom and you have to take a shower in the dungeon bath, you can also soak in the hot springs at the same time, which is very comfortable! This is a hotel of a certain age, with a limited number of rooms. The one I stayed in faced the lake and was part of the hot springs (you have to take a shower in the large public bath on B1/separate for men and women; bring your own towels in the room). The room was a Japanese-style room with a tatami mat. You had to make the bed when you slept. I booked two breakfasts (which happened to be a personal package)

First of all, the hotel located quite far from the station, it suits for people who rent a car more. But the view from the room is spectacular and the room is quite big compared to other hotel in Japan, but you have to do the bed by yourself (we booked Japanese room)
Secondly, the Onsen in the basement is quite large and not so much people which is very good.
Thirdly, the staff are very nice. They clean the snow from our car before we left which surprised us very much.
