We stayed at the hotel for a family function. The grounds are beautiful, but the rooms are nothing special. Plastic cups in the bathroom are not a nice classy touch. Also, our room opened up to a roof and directly above the entrance to the hotel, not a lot of privacy. The breakfast was fine, but nothing special. I did like the newspapers which was a great touch these days Staff was great. Not sure what the building used to be, but did have a "nursing home" feel to it

It is 1 am and this is without doubt one of the worst situated rooms for our stay. We were placed directly above à fraternity/ sorority event for the evening which now continues in the rooms around us. The staff placed us here knowing that there would be a night long event that continued into the rooms around us. There were other areas of the be beautiful hotel that we could have been assigned rooms. Since I cannot slept due to the noise, I might as well write a review now. Too late at night to ask for a new room.

The general manager, Vincent Sano, was aggresive and made me feel unsafe at the end of my one week stay at the door of my room where he yelled at me and made aggresive gestures with his hand, while I was alone and on a telework meeting. We canceled our booking for the following week because of this.

Room was beautiful and overall a wonderful stay . But this is a luxury hotel , i paid 100 dollars for a mediocre medium steak with no link in the midfke and a piece if frozen salmon then sat and listened to a fat redneck say fhk every 3rd word , it was to the point that my fiancee stood up to confront him ..while in bed at 7pm-9pm it was so loud in the lobby we couldn't sleep , the storage closet behind our room must have been being actively re arranged all day because there was pounding throughout the stay “remember this is the presidential suite” making love in the bathtub was very hard with so much noise . Balcony was wonderful except for the old outdoor furniture with the missing umbrella and the black industrial matts …invest in sone outdoor carpet fir god sakes ..

A thank you to the staff, especially Monica, for the warm hospitality at breakfast and preparing our upgraded room, as Platinum Status, to a king fireplace, during my husband’s 40th birthday trip. We look forward to returning in the summer and winter to explore the full property to golf, hike, and snow-shoe.
