Hotels in Minimes - Barriere de Paris, Toulouse

I stayed here from 14th - 17th January, our eldest daughter was starting Erasmus in a University in Toulouse and this hotel was an ideal base to be near her accommodation and close to the City Center. I have to compliment the man on check in ( sorry I didn't get his name) as he was a pleasure to deal with and so friendly and efficient - my daughter's student accommodation wasn't ready on arrival so we had to upgrade to a larger room - and it was no hassle at all. The Hotel was an ideal base to explore beautiful Toulouse. The Rooms were ideal,and the staff were fantastic. Check in and Check out was painless and unfortunately we never got to taste the Breakfast as my girls wouldn't be up for 10.30am - hopefully the next time. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will definitely stay here again when we come to Toulouse.

The hotel is very close to city center while it is a bit far from hassle of the busy downtown. Everything is available however sometimes in a new way. Close to very good restaurants, don't forget that they have pizza service, delivered to hotel. Ask for a room with a view toward canal (the photo is from our room window). The perfect double glass windows keep road noise away from your ears. The hotel staff are so helpful and don't hesitate to ask them for help and guide. Their 24 hours reception also is very good option.

La chambre est un peu vieillissante mais l'hôtel est propre, sécurisé en cette période de COVID19 avec un personnel serviable et attentif. Seul bémol pour le restaurant partenaire où le dîner est convenable si le séjour ne dépasse pas 3 nuits car le menu du jour propose à nouveau les alors mêmes choix, Là aussi le personnel est prévenant et attentif et la sécurité COVID en oeuvre,

First time staying in this type of residence hotel and it was perfect for our family of 4. The reception area is bright, spacious, calm and welcoming. Check in and out was seamless and so easy. Wish all hotels cld be like this. We were concerned hotel maybe more for business travellers but v family friendly. A really nice touch in reception was the pods of tables and comfy chairs, the fuzzball table, the giant teddies and the squishy pool of balls which our kids loved. Not sure if hotel aware but it's perfect for kids with sensory needs. Receptionist v relaxed as some balls spilled out but we made sure all put back in the pool when finished. The outside terrace lovely too. Location of hotel perfect right beside canal du midi and lots of small supermarkets ( which open late!) bakey and pharmacy on same street It s a bit out of city centre but stilll walkable We wandered home one evening along the canals looking at the lit up bridges took 30 mins but prob 20 mins if walking faster. V good transport links to the centre and our receptionist was very helpful, she gave us great advice on metro/bus and how to get around. Our suite was very spacious, with a separate kitchen, living and bedroom. The couch in the living area converted into a very comfortable bed for our 2 son's and our bed was soooo comfortable. After a week in a mobile home it was like heaven. In fact the suite was probably bigger than our mobile home😋. The kitchen area really surprised us -had everything you needed to cook if you wanted and a little dishwasher! The little box in the kitchen with sponge, d/w tablet, cleaning wipe and sachet of w/up liquid and tea towel/torchon was so well thought out. Can t tell u the no of places we ve stayed in fr where nothing is supplied. V irritating so well done to the sensible person who thought to include these! The only thing kitchen lacked was a coffeemaker- it was the first time we 've seen a kettle rather than a coffee maker in our many travels around Fr. But not a big deal as the hotel is beside a fantastic bakery Le Fournil St Honore which does take away coffee, freshly squeezed OJ and freshly baked breads,pastries etc. Perfect base to explore the wonderful city of Toulouse. The room and facilities are all of a very high standard with plenty of room to make oneself comfortable. The Fitness centre was an unexpected bonus. Breakfast was very good though more hot options during the winter months would be nice. The staff were all smart, polite and pleasant to deal with. Opposite the railway station and metro gives quick access to the city and beyond whilst, for the fit, it is a short walk to the centre. The lights in the fitness centre are on a sensor/timer. This was a cause for concern when the lights went off in the sauna as there was no movement outside. I mentioned this to the reception at the time.

The most pleasant room when traveling in Toulouse, everything in the room is ”old”, it is said to restore the appearance of 1930, the wooden floor is also crunching, the location of the room is also excellent, the window is the municipal square, in the morning and afternoon, there will be sunlight coming in, Quite atmospheric. The hotel is out of the downtown area, there are many restaurants and supermarkets, but the authentic good restaurants still have to go out for a while. Fortunately, Toulouse is not big, you can walk anywhere.

Outstanding Location in the Capitol of Toulouse. The Plaza is a vibrant and lively place. Packed with excellent restaurants and bars. The service was extremely friendly and helpful. Staff were always available to deal with any issues. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone

We stayed one night in October. It is a comfortable place to stay! The front desk staff were very nice. The room was terrific with enough space. Great bathroom with spacious shower stall, etc.. Room was very quiet. The breakfast was the highlight! SO many choices all laid out! A nice dining area as well. I highly recommend this hotel.

After a gruelling journey,we arrived in reception about 8pm. The receptionist was brilliant - friendly, helpful, kind to the kids. The room was beyond expectations - a little kitchenette, good bathroom, sofa bed for us, double bed for the kids. Very clean, well equipped. The bar was open, the restaurant unfortunately not, bit the wine was good, the hotel staff lovely. Can't recommend enough.

We had a very warm welcome from all the staff, especially Priestly, who took the time to point out all the places to visit in the city centre. He greeted us every day with a smile and pleasant conversation. The breakfast was fresh and items replenished regularly. The room was comfortable and surprisingly quiet as the hotel is on a busy road opposite the railway station. We will happily stay there again. Thanks to all the staff for a lovely stay.
