My wife and I stayed at the Sugar Mill Hotel in Tortola, BVI, for our honeymoon, and it was absolutely perfect! Rupert and Anndrea, were incredible and went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right. The food was phenomenal—each meal felt like a culinary experience, with fresh, flavorful dishes that exceeded our expectations. The restaurant alone is worth a visit! The staff were equally fantastic—friendly, professional, and always eager to help. Whether it was assisting with excursions, answering questions, or just sharing a warm smile, they truly made our stay memorable. Thank you Curtis for the great drinks! The property itself is breathtaking, with stunning views, serene surroundings, and a tranquil vibe that made it the perfect place to unwind and celebrate. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Tortola! Thank you to everyone at Sugar Mill Hotel for making our honeymoon so special. We can’t wait to return someday!

Our family visited BVI and Sugar Mill Hotel for the first time. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Warm and welcoming staff, great food, fabulous cocktails, and relaxing atmosphere. The all-inclusive was a great option for us and included excursions. Pool was clean, cool and refreshing. Rooms were very clean and fully stocked. Marjorie’s massage was amazing! Might recommend scheduling a day rental on a car for exploring as cab fairs get very expensive. Cane Garden Bay was lovely but wouldn’t waste time on Smugglers Cove. It’s very difficult to get to when there are other great beaches. Overall a wonderful stay!

We spent a week at the Sugar Mill and were very pleased with the accommodation and the restaurants. Our room, #142, was lovely and had an excellent view from the balcony. We were very impressed with the food in the main dining room. In particular the beef and lamb were outstanding. The private beach is small but nicely supplied with loungers. Getting in and out of the water was a little tricky given the wave action. I wouldn't recommend it for children.

Lovely resort on Tortola that felt like a hidden gem with warm hospitality, excellent food on premises, and lovely views of the surrounding area. The freshwater swimming pool was cool and refreshing, and a nice alternative to the nearby beach and sea. Friendly and helpful staff, and comfortable accommodations as well as amenities in each room that made our stay even more special!

We spent a week at Sugar Mill under their all inclusive plan. The accommodations were lovely and included a very spacious balcony with a beautiful view. The food at the restaurants was fabulous, and the staff was wonderful. We are looking forward to making this an annual vacation.

Amazing experience. Dennis and Mary are such gracious hosts. The staff is such a close knit “family” and they go out of their way to make you feel a part of the club. The lodging and both restaurants are just adorable. They’ve done an amazing job of preserving the original sugar mill character while incorporating modern conveniences.

Just returned from our fifth visit to the Sugar Mill. As usual, it is a perfect place to drop out and enjoy the feel of the old Caribbean! The hotel is small, quiet and professionally maintained. The staff, starting with Rupert and Andrea, managers, is absolutely outstanding. Of special interest, you should enjoy a massage with Marjorie! If you want glitz, go somewhere else. If you want a great, restful stay, and a beautiful spot, you cannot beat the Sugar Mill. And the food, is off the charts!

A great friendly professional hotel packed with character and excellent service. We had the all inclusive option which is fantastic VFM the food and wine choices are second to none. I could go on about the pool, rooms, beach bar and restaurant but they were all amazing so just go and find out for yourself. 👍

Beautiful hotel, room and setting! The management’s attention to detail was superb—from daily room cleaning with beautiful “swan towels” covered in local flowers, to champagne and water in the fridge, good coffee, loaner books to take poolside, to arranging our rental car and boating excursion— was excellent.
