Loved our stay at this central, clean, interesting hotel. The rooms aren't huge, but we had a gorgous view of the water, looking over to Nolsoy. Breakfast was fantastic and the area of the restaurant is great for hanging out during the day. Very small and persoanl. A lovely lady on reception - super helpful!

This is a great place to stay. They have nice and comfortable rooms. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They offer a wonderful delicious breakfast. The view is absolutely breathtaking. And it is only a few minutes to walk to Torshavn old town.

Wonderful hotel with lovely views of the water and neighboring Nolsoy. Comfortable bed and outstanding shower. Delicious breakfast and beautiful breakfast room. Friendly staff. Located a short walk from the main area of Torshavn. Ask for a room on the sea side.

This is a very nice hotel within walking distance of town. We had a room overlooking the ocean. The rooms are very small. There was a mini refrigerator in the room which is always a good amenity to have. Beds were comfortable enough. The shower is tiny. We are not big people and just had enough room to turn around. As others commented, the shower has a see-through glass door looking into the room but if your curtains are open you have a nice view of the ocean while you are showering. Breakfast was good. The outdoor hot tub is only available from 12-8 and is 250DKK/person (about $37/person when we were there) for an hour which is ridiculously expensive. Seems like it should be included in the price of the room. In all my travels, I don’t remember ever having to pay for the use of the hot tub. We never saw anyone use it.

We stayed for a night while in Torshavn along our 7-day road trip through the Faroe Islands. Overall, the aesthetics in the hotel were a bit dated (80’s vibe), but nice. Our room was cozy and small, but clean. I suppose it could be considered a bonus that you could see into the shower from the bedroom, as the wall was clear glass (not frosted); it was an interesting touch. Oh, and it seemed like you could also see the toilet via mirrors from anywhere in the room; classy. All that considered, it was still a nice place to stay, but the price for our single night (~$365) was quite high for the islands and definitely reduces the perceived value.

Our room was cozy with a great view. Clean and updated bathroom. The front desk was very helpful. Referred us to a great Italian restaurant after a long trip. Close proximity to the Suderoy car ferry. Great experience.

In november 2021 (8 months ago) we booked a Deluxe room for a stay in hotel Havgrim in June 2022. Havgrim confirmed this by mail on November 13th. But that wasn't what they gave us. When we arrived at approx 3:45pm on the day we were given room 105, which could never be characterized as a DeLuxe room. One window is towards a backyard / bicycle stand, and the other window is towards the parking lot – having all other guests staring directly into the room when entering the entrance of the hotel (which forced us to close the blinds constantly, leaving out all daylight). We walked up and asked the receptionist if there was another room available (this was at approx 4pm in the afternoon, where the hotel probably wouldn’t get any last-minute bookings). The response was that the only other room available was the suite, which we could be given if paying the full difference in the daily rate ! If the hotel staff at that time had been just a tiny bit flexible, and fx had offered us the suite against an acceptable additional fee, we would surely have accepted this – and we would have been grateful. But the receptionist just responded to our questions with ignorance and a general “I hear what you say, but I’m just the replacement” attitude (which we all know is something that solves absolutely nothing). When checking out the next day we realized that putting us in room 105 was not even an unfortunate error. We were charged for a ‘Superior Room’ (even that description of the room is clearly a stretch) – so room 105 is not a ‘Deluxe room’, which is what the hotel had stated being reserved for us in the November 13th confirmation mail. The hotel seem to have had no intention to inform us about downgrading us. They had multiple chances to do so (during the 8 months since we booked the room, during check-in, at the time when we protested to the receptionist, during check-out) – but they chose not to. Our conclusion on our stay is that hotel Havgrim and it's staff don’t really seem to care about the customer experience, nor if what they deliver is what was agreed - and being up to the standards of what they describe as a 4-star hotel in Torshavn. We were put in a room with a location which should disqualify it in any hotel describing itself as a ‘Luxury Boutique Hotel’. When we arrived back home the following day we wrote a complaint to the hotel - but 4 workdays later they still haven't responded (nor just accepted to have seen the mail). So the hotel is at least quite consistent in being totally indifferent towards their guests...

Lovely hotel in lovely Faroe Islands. The hotels has an amazing team..One in the staff went the extra mile to help us with a problem. The hotel is beautiful, clean and just has a great vibe. Breakfast was super. Short walk to downtown Torshavn. Beautiful view from the hotel.

Delightful hotel with very welcoming, friendly staff. Breakfast was fantastic and a superb location with nice views. Compact twin room but very clean and comfortable. Our only wish would have been to be able to get an evening meal there as there was a bit of a walk to local restaurants. Otherwise perfect!
