Holiday Inn Express & Suites Torrington

Nice room, friendly staff; good breakfast. - - - - - - - - May, 2025 Visit My wonderful wife and I were able to enjoy a getaway weekend, with a visit to Devils Tower, WY; we flew through Denver and drove to NE Wyoming. The last trip we stayed in Cheyenne and had a nice visit; this time, we wanted to get a bit further north before stopping for the night, and Torrington is a good location; our flight was late, so we arrived just before midnight, quite tired, and the staff had us in our room within 2-3 minutes of walking in the front door - appreciated as we were asleep within minutes. The room was nice, the night and morning staff friendly, and the breakfast a good way to start the day. While we didn’t get a change to use them, they have a pool and exercise room. The views from the parking lot are expansive in this beautiful, open country. The Holiday Inn is located around 20-30 minute from Scotts Bluff National Monument - we recommend a visit and recommend staying at the Holiday Inn when you visit Scotts Bluff. Problems started from the moment we checked in. We went to the room, it was quite warm and stuffy. Usually the rooms are quite cool and ready for occupants to arrive. We tried turning on the a/c, nothing happened. Tried resetting etc. Finally got it to come on, but only warm air coming out. Went back to the front desk, she gave us another room so we moved. Got to the second room, a/c unit was running, but the air coming out was warm. Back again to the front desk, she came with me to a third room to verify that the AC was working before we moved all of our luggage a third time. We were put into a family suite that had three TVs, but only two remotes of which one worked. The first person to take a shower found no soap in the shower except a leftover sliver of soap from the previous occupant. The bottles of liquid soap we're empty. In the morning when we went to have breakfast we were informed the coffee maker was broken and that if we went to the front desk they would give us coffee pods to take back to our room and make our own coffee in the Keurig. At the front desk we were informed that they were all out of regular coffee and only had decaf pods. In addition to all this, we found out that there was no ice machine working in the entire hotel, and that the pool had been closed because of unsafe levels of something. On the plus side the girl at the desk that evening of our arrival was very pleasant and helpful.

A Great nights stay for us. We were traveling to Nebraska and this was our stop for the night. The room was clean and comfy. The staff were attentive and courteous. We would stay here in the future if we happen to pass this way again. All of our needs were met.

Checked us in to a room with bed unmade and towels on floor. Next room, pillows mashed down, dirt at foot of bedspread like someone had laid on it. Next bed,what looked like someone had kissed it with lipstick on bottom sheet! Tv didn’t work and shower head sprayed floor and walls. Gave us different room next night and points. We have a wedding in October and was going to rent rooms for families (probably 5). Not now.

The whole hotel had no ice. Staff seemed careless. The breakfast was good. Beds were comfortable. Very basic for holiday inn express. .

Staff was kind, however, the pool was closed for the entirety of our stay, the ice machine was down, and the elevator stopped working…with us in it! I realize this is small town USA, however, it seems to me that these things should be easily fixed and maintained!
