We made reservations for this accommodation far in advance: We made the booking in February of 2022 to make sure we had rooms at Tiny House Torres del Paine during the peak season of January 2023. About a month before the reservations, I contacted the hotel owner to confirm the stay. I was told that the hotel would be closed for January 2023 and that I should cancel my own reservations. Now, we are a month out for our trip, and our group of 6 people is forced to book different hotels at higher rates at the last minute because Tiny House Torres del Paine did not notify us that they cancelled our reservations. Had I not emailed, it's extremely likely that we would have shown up, in Patagonia, at the edge of the earth, with nowhere to stay after spending several days and thousands of dollars travelling. This is unbelievable.
