Hotel Lago Grey

A marvellous Property! Just impeccable. The property itself is located at the edge of the lake Largo Gray, with iconic views of the Torre del paine and a glacier falling into the lake. The walk from the hotel up to the edge of the lake is the closest I have felt to Mother Nature. All the staff, of this property are courteous and genuinely trying to help. Special remarks for the restaurant team led by Aaron they were courteous, kind and made every meal a joy. The restaurant menu was simple and exceptionally cooked. The salmon, the conker, the home-made ice creams, the vegan brownie, the ceviche everything was done well and the same quality was repeated when ordered multiple times. The rooms are located on two floors. We had the room on second floor with direct view to the lake and torre del paine. It was serene and peaceful. We visited in winters when the occupancy was low and as such, it was like a Christmas wonderland. We will absolutely visit again, hopefully with friends and family. Ps- the glacier cruise by itself is quite nice a short ride into the lake to see the glacier the boat team are professionals through and through.

Liked · 1 - Amazing view. 2 - Amazing location (one of the few options is really inside the Torres del Paine national park). 3 - Convenient for hopping on the Lago Grey Cruise tour. 4 - There is floor heating in the bathroom. 5 - Breakfast was decent. Food quality in general is pretty good. Disliked · 1 - The attention to detail of the staff in general is low. Few examples. They did not remind us that to access that hotel, we needed to purchase the Torres del Paine national park tickets. The whole internet situation was so poor inside the park that we had trouble purchasing the tickets on site. Thankfully, the park lady let us go in first. I asked ahead to the reception if they can help book the Lago Grey cruise (it was promoted on their website). No one replied to my message and I ended up booking through Get Your Guide. Although the restaurant staff was very friendly, however, they seem to have trouble remembering what is available on the menu and have actually made a mistake on our order more than once. 2 - The rooms were not well insulated from sounds. I could hear people talking and walking in the hallway. 3 - The hot water was actually not hot enough. Given that Patagonia is quite chilly, they should dial up the heat in the hot water.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Lago Grey. The views were phenomenal and the rooms were so cozy and welcoming. The underfloor heating in the bathroom is such a treat on the chilly mornings. A special mention to the staff - especially Juan Vicente, Carla & Daniela. It was my husband’s birthday while here and they made him feel so special. They were so kind and went above and beyond for him to have one of the most memorable birthdays ever. I would highly recommend Hotel Lago Grey. PS - you do need park passes as the hotel is in the park make sure you have yours purchased.

Very accommodating for my wife and 18 month old. Set up a pack and play in the room for us, Claudio made sure to offer sugar free options at breakfast each morning for our daughter and made her an omelette when there weren’t eggs ready. We didn’t plan our trip well and the boat trip was full, but the activity concierge was very kind and offered great insight on hikes and things to do outside of the glacier. Everyone on staff was very kind and baby friendly, we felt very welcome.
