Arrived yesterday and love this hotel and area, we are staying half board, breakfast and dinner. Our room is spotlessly clean, I walked around barefoot and my feet stayed sand and almost entirely dust free. The reception staff have all been welcoming and friendly as have the main bar, rooftop bar, restaurant and cleaning staff. Our room is the basic junior suite, has a mini fridge, kettle and hairdryer and is really spacious with a bedroom area and steps down to a living room and out to the balcony. Out the back gate and you have a full shopping and bar area with a couple of great leather, jewellery shops, supermarkets cafe bars and restaurants, very few of the touristy, inflatable and flipflop type shops that take up most of the ***** in most resorts. Then directly to the beach. We will probably have a beach day tomorrow if the weather holds. Some of the reviews here have complained about the food, all I can say is, are they really expecting Michelin chef restaurants? The food is excellent, some of the best salad, meat, fish and fruit selections I have seen, the fruit in particular is varied, fresh and tasty, the desserts are more varied than I have ever seen. My husband is celiac and we noticed a gluten free breakfast section this morning, with bread, cornflakes, buns and cookies. We didn't expect this so didn’t look for gluten free bread etc at dinner last night, but will do later. You can buy drinks packages, we got both the gold and silver, the gold gets you your spirits and mixers x10 and the silver gets you, teas, coffees, beer, wine and soft drinks x10. We paid £74.40 which I think was about €81. Considering we probably paid about €50 for 6 cocktails yesterday it is great value. I like how the hotels seem to be working together with the local bars and restaurants to keep this a thriving area. I don’t think there are any or very many all inclusive hotels here which I think helps the hotels to stay profitable and still keep the locals in business I think it is a great compromise as I have seen areas in some parts of the world that have mostly all inclusive become run down with empty units. We are only here for a short stay for my husbands 68th birthday, but I would not hesitate to come back here and to this hotel for a main 2 week holiday. I would say it is quiet here, the hotel is adults only and an older clientele, I like not having kids screaming, and the pools overrun with lilos, and while we are oldish, we are not quite ready for a retirement home, so if we feel like a party night, Benalmadena or main Torremolinos are just a short walk or taxi ride away and there are a few live music bars just around the corner here we will try before we leave, Elton’s Piano Bar and El Mojito are on my list. We are in room 124, which is first floor roadside and beside the glass recycling bins, many reviews even on higher floors here have complained about the constant noise, it has not bothered us at all, and is nowhere near constant, maybe some
