Hotel Cortijo Torre de la Reina

Called in on the way down to Portugal. Handy for the motorway. Lovely place, quiet and full of character with a great pool. We didn’t realise there was no restaurant open during August but were directed to a charming village restaurant about 100 metres away. Unexpected, full of character and delightful grounds.

I stayed at this hotel with my wife and our 17-month-old daughter for three nights. Unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing and raised serious concerns. • At breakfast, I discovered moldy bread on the buffet, which I almost gave to my baby daughter. Other food was stale, reused from the previous day, or visibly rotten. On two mornings there was almost nothing to eat, forcing me to purchase food outside despite breakfast being included. • Housekeeping was minimal: the room was not properly serviced, the beds were left unmade, and towels were not changed. • The “crib” provided was actually a camping cot without a mattress. We tried to adapt it with a duvet, but it was uncomfortable and our daughter had to sleep with us in the bed for the entire stay. • The bathroom showed signs of poor maintenance, with plaster falling from the walls and swollen tiles that appeared unstable. • When I raised these issues, the management was unavailable and dismissive. No apology or solution was offered, during or after my stay. We paid in advance for the full stay, which made it impossible to leave earlier or adjust the price based on the actual service received. This hotel does not meet the standards expected for its advertised category, and in my opinion it should be avoided.

Tranquil, attractive and spotlessly clean. It was a wonderful experience 25 mins from Seville airport . The hotel rooms are lovely and the gardens gorgeous. Staff very helpful. Food was delicious. The age of the property made it like stepping back in time
