Elmdene

we have visited this hotel many times, the rooms are spotless and have everything you need for a stay, the breakfast is outstanding and Trevor and Kim the owners are so helpful and welcoming, I recomend this hotel for a great stay, we will be visiting again. Julie & Kev

The minute you walk in to this B&B you feel completely at home. The owners Kim and Trevor were friendly and welcoming and the place was spotless. Home cooked breakfasts were delicious and plentiful. Only a short walk to the beaches and shops. Would definitely go again

We’ve just returned from staying at The Elmdene and we must say that this is a first class boutique hotel, spotlessly clean with a warm welcome on arrival. Great location for Torquay train station, Bus services and a nice flat walk to the centre and its marina. Home cooked fresh breakfast each morning and nothing was too much trouble. This was our first visit and we would not hesitate in booking a return visit. Thank you very much Trev & Kim.

Had a wonderful 4-night stay here on our first visit to Torquay. The Elmdene is a great hotel, impeccably clean, with very well-designed and nicely furnished rooms and comfortable communal areas downstairs. There is also a very well-stocked honesty bar with reasonable prices. The hosts, Kim and Trevor, are lovely and one of the best reasons to stay here. Very welcoming and helpful and deliver a wonderful experience. This includes a lovely cooked breakfast - they also cater for vegetarians - and even a surprise present of homemade scones, jam and cream when we returned to our room one day. The hotel is in a great location which is quiet, near green spaces and close to Torre Abbey and gardens. It is an easy walk to the seafront and restaurants and shops in the town. Also, importantly, it is only a 5 minute walk to Torquay station, which makes it easy to visit multiple places in the area and beyond. We hence did not use our car while staying at the Elmdene but instead travelled by train and on foot. We would definitely recommend the Elmdene and we certainly plan to return! Krish and Bex

We had the most wonderful time staying at this beautiful hotel. It's perfectly located in Torquay and very relaxing. It is spotlessly clean. Our room was lovely with a great en suite. Breakfast was first class. Thank you to Kim and Trevor who couldn't do enough for us. We can highly recommend the Elmdene Hotel.

Just spent two days at this hotel and wish it had been longer. The room was first class, breakfast was superb and we were made very welcome by Trev and Kim. From the hotel it is a pleasant 15-20 minute walk to the harbour and town centre, we walked through the Abbey gardens. I would definitely recommend it and it is genuinely worth the five stars that everybody gives it.
