I am so disgusted and angry with how your staff handled the situation with my family yesterday and you should be EMBARRASSED to have staff like that. I did not catch their names but I imagine you don't have that many people who work the front counter. It was yesterday 10/28 between the hours of 230 and 6pm. SoldierOn is an organization that helps veterans AND THEIR FAMILIES and provides shelter when these families are facing homelessness. My family was homeless as of yesterday. We had a reservation with YOUR hotel that YOU agreed to with SoldierOn. Somewhere down the line it seems there was a LOT of miscommunication and misinformation. The guy I spoke to (twice) was honestly not helpful at all. First of all, I was told you could not accommodate because the reservation was for 10/26 when my case manager informed me the hotel stay would be ready for 10/27 and I informed her we would not be checking in my family until 10/28 which she stated was not an issue. The guy I spoke with was really not very concerned about my situation although he definitely wanted to act like he was. He also was like "why would she tell you that if she doesn't even work here". He told me at first that I had to call back in half hour because he had to reach out to his boss and I had to reach out to SoldierOn. Unfortunately, for whatever reason, SoldierOn does not have an emergency contact during none business hours which I am VERY angry about as well and will be addressing that with my case manager. I did stress this to the guy at the counter and he says "yeah I have the same issue with my manager because he doesn't work today". NOT THE SAME ISSUE BECAUSE HE HAS A HOME TO GO TO IM SURE AFTER HIS SHIFT! I called back half hour later and then he takes my number down and says he has to call me back because he is waiting for his manager to call him. Over an hour went by and I called back after DESPERATELY trying to get a hold of anyone at SoldierOn. I called, some guy answered the phone, and immediately some very VERY nasty, condescending, woman got on the phone and was very abrassive and obnoxious. First of all she just started jumping down my throat about the situation and when I tried to explain that I knew whatever she was saying, she goes "you need to listen to what I'm saying" like who the hell does she think she is talking to me like that. THEN she got even more nasty and I am so sorry, the only way I can truly describe her demeanor was that she was a real "b" about the whole thing and said my dad was the only one on the contract and that my mother and grandmother WOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO CHECK IN because SoldierOn only had my father on the contract and OBVIOUSLY my father WOULD BE ON THE CONTRACT BECAUSE HE IS THE VETERAN DUH!!! So now I had my family and their ENTIRE HOME stuffed away in storage, homeless, my father being a navy veteran, in his 70s, and hearing impaired, my 94 year old grandmother with Alzheimers, and my disabled mother with stage 3 brain cancer.
