Tokyo Shibuya Ward 3-star Hotels

Clean and simple. I was in Shibuya for work, this hotel served as a base for about a week. It's a few minutes walk from the Shibuya Station south exit but still pretty manageable, I love how it's situated a bit outside of the bustling area and on the back street so the nights are quiet and peaceful. Cleanliness is ok, amenities can be picked up from the lobby. Staff are minimal with only a few at the front desk but they are very friendly and helpful. In room washing machine is magnificent, I can put my clothes in in the morning, set a timer and come back to fresh laundry, perfect for longer stays. Might not recommend for family with kids as the walking distance from the city center can be a bit far.

Lyf shibuya is located just opposite Parco, a hip and high-end shopping mall. While it's some distance from Shibuya station from a train-at-your-doorstep perspective, there are plenty of nice shops and restaurants nearby and from there you can practically walk to Daikanyama, Harajuku or Aoyama. I didn't use any of the amemities but some may like the gym and washer/dryer units there. I joined as a hotel member and got one free breakfast, which was a nice selection and tasty one. Picking Lyf the second time as I like its decor after staying at the Ginza one. The staff are generally young and wear a happy face. The hotel just has an upbeat vibe.

The accommodations were very basic. The staff were superficially polite, but didn’t seem to really care about you. House keeping was unpredictable. They were very rigid with their policies to the level of coming across as rude. Besides the location, which was phenomenal, this was truly a disappointing experience.

Tokyu Stay Shibuya hotel is located near to Shinsen station but walking distance to Shibuya area. Check in time is 15:00hrs and check out time is 11:00hrs. This hotel features free wifi, 24-hour front desk services, terrace garden at level 9 and breakfast (only if you purchased) at level 1. One key notable feature is that there is a washing machine with dryer in your room. We stayed in a standard double room and is spacious enough for 3 luggage’s and there is still walking space. In addition to that, it also have a side table and chairs for you to have your snacks and food in the room. In terms of room facilities, it features a bathroom with bathtub and toilet cubicle. Hair dryer and there’s a mini bar fridge are also provided. There is also cooking induction for you to do some simple cooking with their provided pot, plates and utensils. At level 1, there is vending machines (chargeable) provided but there is one coffee machine (free) provided as well. There is like a lounge area for you to chit chat and have a coffee. There is also a convenience store or mini supermarket just opposite the hotel (24 hours) which you can do your purchases. Overall I very satisfied with the stay at this hotel, and really appreciate the higher floor due to me having a longer stay at this hotel. Thank you very much.

Our room was a little small for two people, I was constantly tripping over suitcases and backpacks. The room seems a little dated, there were stains on the wall and the AC didn’t seem to get colder than 24C even when left on all day, which is just wasteful so we didn’t do that. I found the bed and pillows to be uncomfortable. Amenities are fine, though not as eco friendly as other hotels we’ve stayed in in Tokyo. The hotel is a 15-20 walk from Shibuya station, so good location. The staff was really nice upon check in. There are washing machines and dryers available for guest laundry. All in all, a fine stay, but probably wouldn’t book here again.

Great stay! Amazing service and great location. It’s close enough to the bustling areas but also far enough so you can get a good nights sleep from the noise

The room is small, I'm just a backpacker, so it was enough for me. I think people with baggage will have a hard time.. 😅 Something wrong with the water (pipe?). Like, when i shower, the water is very hot, so i adjust it to be more cool, but then after a while, it became very cold., so i adjust it to be more warmer, again, after a while, it became very hot.. , i had to adjust it everytime.. The water temperature doesn't stay.. That's my only complain. Everything else is really great.

Overpriced for a economy hotel! Just soso! The annoying thing is they don’t keep your luggage when you check out! Like it’s so hassle and for the price to not keep your luggage just makes my blood boil! So be aware! The okay thing is they have nice cafe in the lobby. Just soso for this business hotel

Very quiet, the room is also very big, 16 minutes from Shinjuku subway station, 6 or 7 minutes from Yoyogi, there are many food around, it is quite convenient, very satisfied, but you have to check in by yourself, there is no cleaning during the period, you have to keep it yourself

Walked in with no reservations (booked online there in the lobby) and they allowed us to do an early check in. Super nice and helpful staff. The room was all we needed, comfortable bed, nice shower. 2 bottles of water was in the fridge. Location was close to all the shopping and easy to walk to. Also easy to get to for tourist spots.
