Excellent place to stay in Tobelo.. Clean, staff are kind.. Owner will help you out with your needs.. I was impressed, he assisted in getting a guide for climbing..also questions about the local area. English is not widely spoken but will work with you at translating and assisting. Nice place reasonable prices..

Absolutely appalling, which is unfortunate as it's located conveniently for the airport. Having travelled frequently in Indonesia and stayed in different standards of rooms, we were not expecting luxury, however this is at the very bottom end of budget accommodation, but overpriced and misold as low mid range. The rooms are filthy (bedding is clean). The walls by the bed do not appear to have been cleaned for some time. Plaster and paint is peeling off the walls. There were dead cockroaches under both beds and a large live one in a wet room, which is advertised as a 'private bathroom', but has no sink. My husband was told to shave in the restaurant. The door on the wet room was black and rotten at the bottom. There was no flat screen TV, which is advertised on their website. There was no control for the air con, which was stuck on very cold. The other option was to turn it off. The hotel advertise a free airport shuttle. This does not exist, although it was agreed the night before departure that they would provide this and we had a booking confirmation, which included this service. Whilst awaiting the pick up, we were told that this would not happen and the option was a taxi, which they would fund. This took a further half an hour to arrive. Arriving at the airport, with 10 mins before check in closed, we were told by the taxi driver that we needed to pay the fare, which was at a highly inflated price. We had no time to challenge this due to check in closing. Altogether a really horrible and quite stressful one night stay at what can only be described as a dump. All of the above was raised with the really unhelpful manager. Such a shame as the area was great and local people super friendly and helpful.
