Although the exterior looks very old, it is actually a very cozy hotel, especially the rice balls given to us by the proprietress when we checked out, which was very heartwarming~
If you stay in Toba for one night, I highly recommend staying at Kaigetsu!

This is a hotel only five minutes away from Toba Station. Toba Station has both Kintetsu and JR, and there is a pier to Dolphin Island. Five minutes in the other direction of the hotel is the aquarium and Pearl Island. Another 5 minutes in the other direction are several major restaurants recommended on the Internet. The owner is very good. Although breakfast is not included, the owner will prepare two rice balls for each person every morning for the passengers to eat on the way. There are small dried fish, minced meat, pickled mustard greens, pickled mustard, etc., and lunch every day is solved by these rice balls. The room was upgraded to a room with a private bathroom for me. There is a hot spring on the top floor. Except for weekends, I am the only one taking a hot spring, which is simply a private hot spring.

The inn was conveniently located less than 5 minutes walk from the Toba station and a short walk to Mikimoto Pearl Island and Toba Aquarium.
Most of all, the hospitality of our lady host was impeccable. Breakfast was delicious and she made onigri for our lunch when we left the inn.
Will recommend this quaint inn to our friends in Sg!

We stayed 2 nights in this Ryokan, and it is one of the best memories of our trip. The hotel is very well located 5 min from the station and the main attractions. The front and hotel facade may not look so inviting, but when you meet the owner and her daughter, you feel very welcome. Every time we went in or out , the lady owner was there to greet us. We got some good advice for places to visit as well as restaurants. The room was very clean, with very comfortable beds , nice kimonos. The Onsen on the last floor is using natural spring waters, but be prepared for a very hot soak. A huge breakfast is prepared daily with a lot of attention and served in a typical traditional room with open fires.

Very friendly hosts. We stayed in a triple room , 2 single beds and 1 tatami queen beds. Breakfast was prepared by the host . Parking avail just outside the minsu . Bathroom has a bath tub as well as shower head . Aircon working great. Good for family
