Stayed for one night as part of a work related visit to the South West. The hotel was very good value, very clean, couldn’t fault the facilities, the food, or the service. Would definitely use this hotel again

Pretty generic cheap hotel
Good choice if you are not fussed about the services and want a cheap option
The hotel is in dilapidated condition
The room and the beds are very big. The bathroom is generic
The carpets are not really clean and have weird smell which we become used to after some time.

We chose Tiverton Hotel for our wedding venue. We wanted everything under one roof and it's local for us, family and has easy access from M5 via the A361 (North Devon Link Road). We honestly couldn't have chosen better. Soraya coordinated the event for us and couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating. The ceremony room was decorated beautifully for us, as was the room where we held our reception meal. Thanks also goes to Carol and all the staff who worked really hard to make everything look amazing.Our meal was excellent. The staff throughout the hotel were really attentive and friendly. Absolutely cannot fault the service here. Our room was massive, clean and well equipped. The place is dated for sure however, I understand a refurbishment programme is due to be implemented by the new owners in the short term. Thank you for making our wedding day so special.

This was our first visit to this hotel, we used it for a stopover close to the M5 on our way further west, and The Tiverton worked very well for us. Our room was large and well-equipped, with a desk, a dressing table, and a coffee table with two chairs. It was clean and bright, and the plumbing worked well. There was ample parking, much more than we’re used to finding at hotels, which is possibly why it seemed to be popular with events (there was a bridge conference on whilst we were there) and with coach tours. That didn’t affect us, except that groups tended to arrive at the bar and the restaurant at the same time, leading to queues forming, but we weren’t really inconvenienced at all. The staff were friendly and helpful. We ate one dinner in the restaurant, and the food was OK.

Food was really nice and very efficient. Waiters were lovely and made me smile. Rooms were slightly dated but did the job, very comfy beds -superb sleep. my one complaint is the lack of power sockets next to the bed as i had to get out of bed to turn my alarm of if i wanted to charge my phone overnight. Bathroom again, rather dated however very clean and decently maintained. New, modern tv that has lots of channels and also good amenities (biscuits, tea, coffee, iron, ironing board etc) Great mood lighting in the room and some lovely artwork! A decent amount of clothes hangers and storage for luggage. We were blessed with a picturesque river view, uncommon when paying this price so decently surprised. Doors to rooms felt very secure, rooms came with two key cards so useful when multiple guests were staying in one room, also an extra lock on the door for safety at night - really appreciate that. Didn't stay for breakfast as i had to dash early for a meeting so cannot comment on the breakfast side of things. However, overall i am very happy with my stay, would defiantly recommend!!

Room had a smell to it. But it was clean and tidy. Bed was big and comfortable . Bathroom was clean with shower over bath . Nice deep bath. Plenty of room for makeup and tooth brushes etc. staff very friendly. Food is not the best. My husband had fish and chips that cost £16 the fish must have been on a diet it was the very poor quality. Children’s menu is large and good price. Breakfast in the morning was plentiful although had to wait for stock to be restocked this was taking quite some time and people were stood waiting for eggs and sausages etc. All on all we stayed here as a stop off for one night it was cheap and you get for what you pay for.

Brilliant staff. Always knew how to help and support you I particularly like Rachel and . Room spacious and comfortable however the foldable bed was not too good. Water pressure is excellent I couldn't believe how good it was. Also we know the fire alarm works as it went off my first night
