Peacock Reach Hotel

Great experience. Our tour guide Ranjith at Travo Lanka booked the hotel for us. Our room was very nice and clean. We had a lovely balcony. The staff here were amazing - so helpful and friendly. They prepared us lunch when we arrived even though we were late and passed their lunch hours. They prepared take away breakfast for us at 5am when we were doing safari. They were always ready to help with our bags and always smiling. Very close to some lovely restaurants and Yala Safari. We had lunch and breakfast here and both were excellent - the curry and rice for lunch is huge and very good.

Close to Yala National Park, toy stuffed leopards greet you. This hotel has rooms and dining on the ground level if guests have mobility issues. The pool and baby pool were clean and inviting. Laundry service is available off-site through the hotel but make sure you allow 1+ days for service.

Such a wonderful hotel! Incredibly welcoming and professional staff, very comfortable and clean family room, and we loved the well-sized pool, especially after our safari! Delicious veggie curry too. Only stayed 2 nights but super relaxing and enjoyable. This hotel is excellent value for money.

We checked into this accommodation before going to Yala national park on a safari. On our return there was no electricity to our room. The door was no longer double locked as we had left it. We used the pool but it was full of flies. Our room was clean but very basic, very old bedding and towels. The shower was a waste of time 1970’s shower head attached with a plastic hose. No pressure and not hot. The 2 cockroaches in the dining area whilst discussing our grave concerns with manager and our guide resulted in us leaving without staying and moving to another hotel where we felt safer, after we challenged them about the trust of their staff when money went missing from my hand bag. We were also asked by the other Russian guest for cigarettes!! There are many other hotels around to use if you visit Yala check they have a safe.
