Srishty Garden Resorts

This resort was a pleasant surprise and is truly a resort. The view of the hills from the balcony is amazing. The resort still preserves the greenery and provides reasonable amenities and ample parking. The only caution is to order for food well in advance as th restaurants offers very limited choice and that too on prior ordering. This place is very close to old Kutralam water falls. The other water falls can be easily reached. Those who prefer to enjoy a quiet time amidst nature this is an ideal place. People here though less in number are very helpful and the owner who stays within the resort is a wonderful person who cares a lot for his customers.

This resort is situated on the road to old Courtallam just about 2 kms before the water falls. Location is so lovely that one will enjoy the nature, trees, greenaries, mountain view from the room etc. We enjoyed the season with saral mazhai as called in tamil or drizzling with wind as translated into english and there was lot of water in the water falls for us to enjoy bathing. We had Palm fruits fresh from the farm, they were very tasty. This resort has both cottages and rooms but we stayed in a room on first floor offering beautiful mountain view, scenic. This resort has attached pantry offering home made food of south Indian cusine both vegetarian and non-vegetarian.

The property is under renovation and needs a lot of maintenance. There is still work around the swimming pool that needs completion, the water was not very clean/ clear so we could not use it. The Massage centre is not functional. Breakfast both days was very tasty, limited options however taste was good. They also cater to other meals however need to inform them early. The staff is friendly and hospitable. Suresh who manages the administration of the property is very friendly and approachable. We had an unforeseen incident that spoilt our holiday plans and we are very unhappy to see that there was minimal support from the Srishty management. Our new car was parked very close to our room at a place suggested by the management. In the afternoon, the water can van driver drove harshly and banged into our car damaging the door without any supervision from Srishty management. The owner of the vehicle did not arrive until about 2 hours and was not willing to compensate us for the loss. The management of Srishty on whose premises this incident happened supported the locals more than us, their guests. Finally, after 7 hours of waiting, false promises and discussions, we were paid a paltry sum in lieu of going to the police station and filing a complaint. We were almost cornered into this option as the local people started increasing in number and we were just the 2 of us. For our own safety we decided to compromise. We lost out on our lunch, sight seeing plans, shopping and almost dinner too. This whole incident has left a sour taste for us and we will never visit Srishty again. They did not take any onus for the damage done to their guest’s vehicle on their premise. Very poor management support. Totally disappointed because of this experience and because of this attitude and behaviour we do not recommend this resort.

The best resort I have ever visited ,especially the food and service were great .The new Maharaja cottages were very luxurious and we had a wonderful stay .The breakfast was complimentary and also they had swimming pool which has a hill view.This is a very peaceful place and it is a must stay place.
