My friend and I needed somewhere to stay after a late flight and Golden City was perfect. We arrived at 3.30am and were happy to see that there was still someone on reception available to check us in. The room was decorated nicely and suited our needs for a quick stay perfectly. The hotel is very centrally located, so if we had been staying in Tirana for longer, would have been a great place to sightsee from 😊

The hotel is within walking distance of many facilities in Tirana. The bedroom was a decent size. Bed was comfortable. The air con worked efficiently. There is no iron and ironing board in the room. You can ask Reception to provide an iron, but no ironing board. A fridge, kettle and safe are in the room. The hotel bar is available for hotel guests. One sachet of coffee, 2 herbal teas and 1 bottle of water is provided in the room upon arrival, however these are not replaced. Housekeeping did not wash the used cups or used glasses on a daily basis. The bathroom had a waterfall shower and water pressure was low. Shower gel and hand wash was provided. Continental breakfast was pretty much the same each day. Fresh orange juice costs 3 Euros. There is no lift in the hotel, however, staff helped with luggage. The spa which is at the back of the hotel is a separate company, the spa facilities are great. You pay a fee to use sauna, steam room, jacuzzi. The massage service I received was excellent and a really good experience. There is no gym. The best asset to the hotel is Oni (not sure how to spell his name) who works on Reception and does other duties in the hotel bar. He is excellent. On the whole, I enjoyed my stay at Golden City Hotel Tirana.

Escolhemos esse hotel por conta da localização próxima à Praça Sanderberge. Quarto e banheiro bem espaçoso, espaço para colocação de duas malas sem problema. Café da manha bem variado. Tivemos um problema com o ar condicionado nao funcionava muito bem.

Es war ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt, das Hotel liegt sehr zentral, alles ist gut zu Fuß erreichbar. Das Frühstück ist kein Highlight, aber ausreichend und frisch. Insgesamt ein absolut gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis und das Hotel sehr zu empfehlen.

From the moment I arrived, I was warmly greeted by Jon, who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was exceptional. His kindness and professionalism made a huge difference, from offering helpful recommendations about the city to ensuring I was comfortable in my room. It’s rare to find such personal care, and Jon truly made my experience feel special. The hotel itself is charming, well-maintained, and offers a peaceful atmosphere, perfect for both business and leisure travelers. The rooms are cozy, modern, and equipped with all the amenities you could need. The location is also ideal—central enough to explore the vibrant culture of Tirana, yet tucked away in a quiet area, making for a relaxing stay.
