Marinaj Hotel

Good if you can handle air conditioning. Hotel lacs proper air circulation. Rooms were very hot. Hallway air was stale and still and hotter than the rooms. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Also lots of loud music playing nearby until 12:30 am. Situated on very busy street.

Modern and relatively new hotel, decor is lovely. Amazing. Arrival led to a swift book-in for a large group. Late arrival meant that we headed for the bar for a couple of drinks before bed. Romeo was serving behind the bar. What a delightful young man, sharing information about the area and what to expect and he really showed how he has a passion for his country. Great customer service Romeo you are a credit to this establishment, polite and friendly, we really enjoyed your company. Rooms... big and comfortable. Shame about the location as it is on the main road. Staff in the restaurant were also very friendly and we enjoyed the red wine very much! Swift visit staying on our first and last night of a 9 day trip. Recommend the hotel even without availing ourselves of the gym and spa facilities.

This hotel is still new and it has been well appointed with nice quality materials like stone, marble and nice furniture. We booked two rooms to stay two nights in Tirana. The hotel was chosen for its reviews, its price and the fact that it is located on the airport-side of the city, which was convenient for us arriving and collecting our hire car. We were pleased with our choice. The staff were helpful. The rooms were really big and the bed was great; also the bathroom was very nice. Breakfast was fine; it could have been better but there was a fair bit of choice. The coffee was poor. Once we collected our hire car on the day we left Tirana, we were able to pop the car in the underground hotel car park, which was helpful. The hotel reception area has a sign which suggests there is a wellness and spa area on the top floor - there isn’t, or not yet. It will be a nice addition once this is added. The hotel is located on one of the main roads and this road is currently being renovated (it will be bigger), so it was a little confusing for a taxi driver who picked us up in the centre of the city and took us to the hotel, but was not an issue. The location is not exactly scenic: there is some outside seating, which is quite nice and you could walk to a couple of cafes, restaurants or shops on the same side of the road as the hotel, but it is quite a busy road and there are no parks or sights nearby. This was fine for us as we took taxis to the centre of the city and the places we wanted to visit.
