King Arthurs Arms

King Arthur’s Arms is fabulously located next to a huge car park, yet on Fore Street, which is the Main Street running through Tintagel and about 3 minutes walk to the top of the hill leading down to English Heritage’s Tintagel Castle. On arrival we were checked in at the bar by Jess with a very friendly Cornish welcome. The smell of cleanliness emerged us as we walked up to our huge room with double bed, wardrobe, dressing table, easy chairs and huge bathroom with double walk in shower, sink, toilet and heated radiator. Huge room for Cornwall and immaculate. We chilled out and wandered along and around Tintagel Castle, then back to the pub for dinner. It’s an extensive menu with huge portions. There was no issue with pub noise and we slept well, waking for an extensive breakfast which commences with a choice of pastries and cereals, then Full English, teas, coffees and juices! We were then able to stay parked for a few hours after check out at 10am to wander around Tintagel. Really cannot recommend King Arthur’s Arms enough and particularly so to single parents with kids-safe, friendly and accommodating and shout out to Jess for super friendly service throughout!

Great stay, big descent room for my family, big breakfast, really in good location. It looks old outside but great inside. No complains!! Well done King Arthur’s Arms Inn!

Great location and room was great. To enhance the room a king size bed would have made it excellent. Additional free parking was a bonus. Food and drink bit pricey but a wide range of choices. Breakfast was excellent and the morning staff along with the daytime staff work really hard so you are not waiting too long. Unfortunately we experienced an abrupt and unhelpful member of bar staff who could not find it in herself to apologise for a wrong order and it was obvious she served people she knew before serving us even though we were at the bar waiting before them. Despite this when we checked in, Jess (we think that was their name) made us feel very welcome and as we were newlyweds arranged for a complimentary bottle of wine for us - totally unexpected and really thoughtful. We would recommend staying here.

Myself and husband walked into The King Arthurs Arms after a nightmare of a first night at the Tintagel Arms Hotel. We managed to get a room for two nights what a difference for a little more money you get so much more. The room was spotless plenty of toiletries all very good quality even bottles of water in your room. Breakfast was delicious pastries, yoghurts, fresh fruit then you get to choose from a menu for a cooked breakfast. All excellent quality and included in the price but most of all you feel safe and appreciated.

This is a gem of a find. We had a double room in the annex just for one night which happened to be a disability accessible room. It was a lovely room, very large wet room. The only issue was the shower which had very little pressure and kept changing temperature. Not a problem for us but might be difficult if using the shower seat. We had a lovely meal in the restaurant in the evening and despite being very busy the service was very quick. Breakfast in the morning was great. I had the vegetarian breakfast which was one of the best I’ve had. Will definitely return- thank you so much.

What a beautiful friendly place im originally from norfolk but moved to cornwall with work and my family came to visit me and stayed i couldnt of booked them into a better place beautiful location very friendly staff and great food had such a nice time thankyou

We checked in after having a disappointing stay at another nearby b &b . We were just looking for a comfortable stay for the night, and we weren't disappointed; we were booked in quickly (rushing off for pre booked castle booking) . Checked in mid afternoon, room (annexe) was clean , spacious and very comfortable. Breakfast this morning was perfect, just like the evening meals we'd had previously. Well set up, staff friendly, thank you to everyone.

Mum and I stayed at King Arthur’s Arms bed and breakfast for one night in August 2014. We parked easily in the huge car park next to the hotel and checked in, where we were given a parking permit valid to cover our stay and a few hours beyond. Jess greeted us and took us to Room 12 and I noticed how clean it smelt throughout. There was a mini hallway with a huge bathroom to the right, containing a huge double shower, large vanity sink and toilet. The bedroom was huge with double bed, wardrobe, safe, dressing table and tea and coffee facilities and a dual aspect to the front over Fore Street and to the side over the entrance to the pub. The bed was comfortable and temperature was great. We ate dinner at the pub, which was lovely. Breakfast was plentiful with a choice of cereals, pastries and granola with yoghurt, then full English with tea, coffee and juices. We were given a fond farewell at departure by Jess, who is just fabulous at making guests welcome ⭐️

Stayed the night at this lovely venue. Wished we had taken a smaller suitcase as there were quite a few stairs for us to climb. The room was beautiful, well laid out and everything presented beautifully. The bathroom had a large sink unit, and shower. The bedroom had two side chairs, with a desk/chair, and tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and water. The breakfast was very well done too.
