The hotel is blessed with the most amazing natural setting high in the hills with a beautiful vista down to the Aegean – you’d be hard pressed to find a better view in Tinos! The hotel itself has been beautifully designed to match its natural surroundings; the room was spacious and clean. However, the service did not match the 5* location and given the hotel’s price point I think they need to do a lot better on this front if they want to succeed in making the hotel a luxury option in Tinos. A couple of observations: - A complimentary bottle of water was provided on arrival in your room – this was never replenished during our 5 night stay. - Service around the pool area was practically non-existent (you had to go looking for waiting staff if you wanted a drink). - The lamps which created the mood lighting next to our table were removed mid-dinner service and taken upstairs for a private function. - We struggled to arrange car hire and when I contacted the hotel prior to our arrival they just provided me with the telephone number of their preferred supplier. Again, given the price point of the hotel and fact its targeting the luxury market, you’d expect them to be of more assistance in arranging this. - One evening we ordered drinks after returning from dinner to enjoy on our balcony. We had to stand in middle of restaurant to wait for them – if there is no lounge / bar area then they should be better equipped to provide room service. Operationally, the hotel was operated as a restaurant and not as a hotel. The hotel has huge potential but they do need to address these operational issues if they wish to succeed in the luxury market.

The hotel is in an excellent location Within 100 meters from Old Port Pier and North Bus Station There are lounge chairs around the pool for sunbathing The room is large in size and has an independent balcony to enjoy the sunset on Mi Island.

The hotel upgraded our room for free. The room was tidy and clean. Because it was the off-peak tourist season, most of the restaurants on the island were closed. We ordered food at the hotel in the evening. The food tasted really good, especially the yogurt. We left the next day. The hotel also specially arranged free airport drop-off service. The service was in place and I was satisfied!

Hotel run by a super lovely family! Very beautiful room like you find in Mykonos alone. My wife and I stayed at Mykonos Moussa (4) wonderful nights! We arrived at the Mykonos ferry port at 9:30 PM and were met by the very polite, considerate and helpful owner George for a transfer to our beautiful room. In the morning, we awoke to an awesome view of Agios Ioannis Beach and the island of Delos from our balcony. Shortly afterwards, we sat down to a delicious optional breakfast delivered to our balcony by George. Our room was the best that we stayed in during our (3) week trip to Greece. Spotlessly clean with a Myconian designed exterior and spacious interior. The beach and crystal clear Aegean was just a short walk away and the bus stop was literally across the street from the Mykonos Moussa property. Mykonos Town (Chora) is only a short 1.6 mile bus ride away. This is a perfect location for those wishing to visit the main town and beaches while staying at a quiet distance from the crowd. Our only regret is that we did not stay longer. Thank you George for your kindness and making our Mykonos stay amazing! Scott & Kim

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Syros and the Diogenis Hotel was a wonderful location - literally across the street from the ferry port. Hermoupolis is a thriving town, that doesn't appear to have been discovered by Americans yet. Many good restaurant and beach options. Strongly recommend driving around the island to check out the beach towns - easily done in a day. The staff were so helpful and friendly, directing us to good restaurants and rental car services. A few suggestions - request a room with a view of the port on the 2nd floor or higher. Much better views on the upper floors. And even with the wonderful views, plan on closing the windows at night due to the noise from the port. Good news - the windows cancel out the noise and the rooms are air conditioned. Also we found the breakfast to be sub-par - would have preferred a larger selection of pastries (though the breakfast cakes were delicious), fresh juice (vs. watery bottled stuff), and better coffee. The bathrooms are small, more European size - but more than adequate. In summary, we would stay at the Diogenis again in a heartbeat because of the location and the quality service.
