When I suffered a fall in the unlit stairs of the hotel and broke my ankle, the owner didn't even bother to give a hand to get me down the very steep and dangerous access to our car. His attitude was very shocking and he defended himself by saying that a client must have turned off the light. This should never happen; an emergency light should always be on. He then said that there has not been an accident in 15 years since the opening. Well, it only takes once. I'm very fit and have never broken a bone in all my life. This fall on stone stairs in total darkness could have killed me. Giorgo’s attitude was unacceptable. Bottom line: these are amateurs. Read the revews carefully: the access is appalling.

There are many positives about the hotel. Sympathetic architecture for the national park with small clumps of modern stone buildings. Lovely view up the valley road. Acceptable food from the in-house restaurant and a jolly good b+b breakfast. Large enough bedroom with comfy bed. Hospitable staff with plenty of smiles. The major downside for me was the outdoor layout. With no mechanical aids, all movement away from the car is on Shank's pony. There are steepish ramps and lots of stairs but no lifts, escalators or assistance, not even a baggage cart. It was annoying to have to leave the suitcases in the car. None of this would have been an issue if the publicity blurb had warned of it: we would simply have gone somewhere else. But to be hit with the surprise on arrival was more than a little dispiriting.

Fantastic place - spotlessly clean, scenic and extremely welcoming. We spent 5 nights here and were so impressed by the high standards of everything. The beds are very comfortable, the bathroom new and the shower good. The breakfast buffet had everything from eggs to pastries. The host gave us excellent suggestions for sightseeing. The place is really well positioned for a wide variety of experiences- short hikes, long hikes, scenic drives. Overall we couldn’t be happier and can’t wait to come back.

Strange place. New hotel. Obviously a lot of money was spent to build it as it is lovely. However lots of problems. Surprisingly poor hospitality, particularly for Greece. The response to suggestions was "whatever" and to requests was "no, can't do that". Supposedly a four-star hotel but no water in the room. Hard mattress, lumpy pillows. Restaurant was just bare tables, no table cloth or even paper. Service was practically non-existent. Food poor yet expensive. Would not recommend unless they get managers that care about their guests.
