Lewa Safari Camp with Elewana exceeded all of our expectations, delivering an unforgettable experience. The tent accommodations were beautiful and impeccably clean, with every detail thoughtfully designed for comfort and luxury. One of the highlights of each day was the wake-up call with cappuccinos and biscuits delivered directly to our tent—a perfect start before embarking on a morning game drive. Our guide, George, was phenomenal. His deep knowledge of the wildlife and the surrounding ecosystem added so much to the experience, and he went above and beyond to ensure we had incredible sightings. We were fortunate to enjoy unforgettable moments with elephants, rhinos, lions, a leopard and small herds of the endangered Grevy’s zebra. The quiet, close encounters—often without any other vehicles nearby—made it feel like we had the place to ourselves. George knew just where to place the Land Cruiser for the perfect view. Starting with our drive from the airport, Lewa Downs, we were immediately immersed in the wild life. We saw all the big five within our first two days. George made every game drive memorable. His eyesight is phenomenal, spotting animals at great distances and then getting us upclose to them. The culinary team was outstanding. I have extensive food allergies, and the chefs went out of their way to accommodate me, creating delicious meals that made me feel entirely safe and cared for. From surprise bush breakfasts to sundowners. Every meal was an experience in itself. Our personal tent valet, Freddy, was attentive and always a step ahead, ensuring our stay was seamless and comfortable. Glynn and Keen, who facilitate and manage the camp, clearly run a tight ship and create an atmosphere of warm hospitality and professionalism. Every staff member we encountered was delightful and committed to making our stay unforgettable. We cannot thank the team enough for their exceptional service, knowledge, and kindness. Lewa Safari Camp is a true gem, and we hope to return someday!

This was our second trip to Lewa Conservancy but our first stay at Lewa Safari Camp, and just like our first trip (where we stayed at Kifaru House), we had an excellent experience. The Elewana experience is seamless - starting with stepping out of the plane at Lewa Downs and being greeted by Peter with lovely cold towels, snacks and drinks. The drive to camp is full of wildlife sightings and the welcome to camp is always warm and inviting. Nehemiah is a great manager whom we enjoyed chatting with, and the other team members Redemptia and Martin arranged our delicious meals and kept our beautiful tent spotless. A wake up call with coffee, tea and biscuits delivered to our tent was a luxurious way to greet the day before a morning game drive. We enjoyed surprise bush breakfasts and sundowners and a lovely dinner under the stars for our last night. Every person working at the camp is a delight! Our guide Misheck was great. He spent loads of time with us and we spotted a wide range of wildlife despite the high grass and wet conditions (wildlife spotting is harder when there's abundant water as the animals are more spread out). We had some lovely quiet times with elephants, rhinos, lions - all close encounters with no other vehicles - along with many other species. We saw big herds of the extremely endangered Grevy's zebra - a real treat! But we really enjoyed the time spent chatting with Misheck about the people of Laikipia, his family and experiences. We benefitted from his knowledge and expertise greatly! We hope to return someday!

We absolutely loved our stay at Elawana Lewa Safari Camp. The accommodations were beautiful, spacious and comfortable. The food was delicious and plentiful served graciously by Maxwell. Mike our game driver was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and knew exactly how to track the white and black rhinos that Lewa is known for as well as cheetah, lions, giraffes and elephants. We had a special experience watching a pride of lionesses with their cubs and had a very close encounter with a male lion. We had great sundowners in the bush with beautiful views and one extra fun one where we watched a large family of elephants playing in the water while we sipped our cocktails. We loved our stay here and highly recommend this camp.

Our stay at Elewana Lewa Safari Camp was nothing short of magical! The grounds were stunning, with breathtaking views all around. Our tent was clean, spacious, and perfectly situated to catch cool breezes – making it a relaxing retreat after our game drives. A special mention to Michael and Alex, the expert guides who accompanied our driver. Both were incredibly knowledgeable about the land and wildlife, and their passion for the area was contagious. Michael had an amazing eye for spotting animals, including a cheetah walking through the tall grass—a sight we’ll never forget! Alex took us to a lion's den, where we were lucky enough to see four adorable cubs up close. The experience was unforgettable. The staff at the camp were friendly, kind, and always eager to help. The food was exceptional, but after a week in safari lodges and having never tried the local food, I mentioned my interest in trying traditional Kenyan food, and they kindly accommodated my request. We enjoyed a delicious meal alongside our guide and driver, which was a wonderful way to end our safari. Overall, Elewana Lewa Safari Camp offers a top-notch experience with incredible wildlife, stunning views, and impeccable hospitality. Highly recommended!

Just when you feel you have seen everything, my friend Saurabh Jain brings me here’s and wow! What a beautiful vamp. The staff is so warm and helpful. You have your privacy and at the same time are looked after so well. Unfortunately I was Not very well so did not go on Safari so can not comment on the wildlife of Lewa, am hoping to be back to experience that some day soon. Am quite positive I can promote this campsite wildlife holds up.

Great experience. Our guide Misheck was terrific. The service, the food, everything was top notch. The safaris started early to take advantage of the animals moving. The evening drives started at 4:00 pm and lasted a few hours. In between you have a chance to chill, sit by the pool, nap, or do whatever you wanted. My wife got a massage and loved it.

Once in a lifetime experience in a picturesque landscape close to Mount Kenya. The accommodation was the most luxurious during our Safari. The whole Staff was very friendly and caring. Our personal driver/guide Daniel was very knowledgeable about the local animals and very pleasant as well. Last but not least our waiter Andrew was also such a great person. The Food had Star potential. Everyone spoke perfect English, much better than most German government officials. We will come back next time.
