Premier Inn Thurso

Very pleasant staff, very nice food. thank you. Only issue was there was no ice-cream leaving my kids a bit disappointed but the staff were very apologetic. (Zara, Megan, Hannah C, Chef = Luke)

I have stayed at this Premier Inn previously and it always impresses me how friendly and professional the staff are. They are always smiling and appear to have a real passion for their jobs and the Premier Inn brand. The hotel itself is in a great location and a short walk to the town centre or beach. There is a large off street car park which is ideal. The rooms are clean and the hotel seems cared for. The management and duty managers clearly do a very good job of promoting a positive workforce and workplace environment which transfers into their guests. The food was very good too. I would highly recommend this Premier Inn and I reckon other locations and managers from elsewhere would learn or benefit from observing this hotel. I will 100% be back. 😃

Due to the combined efforts of two airlines we had a disastrous start to our vacation. Emma on the desk lent a kindly listening ear to our tale and sent our children and us a lovely gesture. As well as this positive start to our stay we were very impressed with our very clean room, extremely friendly staff, marvellous value breakfast and if we stop by the area again would have no hesitation staying here.

Had to send the steaks back as they were still alive despite asking for well done, they were redone and came back tough as old boots, to be fair the lady offered our child an ice cream as way of an apology. The breakfast was a joke, lack of items and the stuff that was there was dried up or burnt, "Chef" was missing in action to ask for fresh stuff. No fruit available and the bacon was like slates. Use Premier Inn a lot but the food here was easily the worst ever served to us. Staff were nice enough but there were far too few of them. I wont go back here due to the food but did have a decent sleep.

We travelled up from Inverness on the train on Friday for a two night stay, enabling us to get the bus to John O'Groats on the Saturday. The room was lovely and comfortable with air-conditioning, for which we were grateful as temperatures were up in the mid twenties (almost unprecedented for the north coast of Scotland!) We ate out Friday night and Saturday morning but opted to eat at the hotel Saturday night and Sunday morning. Breakfast is £10.99 for adults with kids eating for free. We noticed they have an offer for £26.99, for a two course dinner, with a drink, plus breakfast the next morning, so we opted for that. The food at dinner and breakfast was of very decent quality and the serving staff were very friendly. Having stayed at the Travelodge in Inverness the previous two nights, my opinion is that premier inn (although usually a little more expensive when they're in the same town) is just at that next level in quality and comfort.
