Hotel carpet is too dirty which staff is also agree and saying they need to be changed but price of stay is too costly as compare to cleaning

We had the most pleasant stay! The staff was wonderful. Marcie, Serena, and Sajar took care of all of our needs and found us a great room at a great rate. The view of the harbor from the 4th floor was so nice that we didn't want to leave. And Randy in the restaurant told us about the long history of the hotel, and the many stays by the Royals. Truly a pleasure. We were able to walk to the harbor.

Booked this place for its history but the place definitely needs a major overhaul. The friendly, professional and helpful staff is what keeps this place going. The hotel is dark, stairs and elevator are narrow and the surrounding areas feel unsafe. They provided low quality bathroom soap. Tub in the bathroom very skinny and oddly it had a spacious bedroom. Glad we only stayed for 1 night.

My husband and I were referred to this hotel as most hotels were booked in the area. We need a one night so we booked it. Upon arrival we noticed the area looked VERY sketchy with lots of beggars around. I went into the lobby to check in and immediately noticed a foul smell and lack of cleanliness. Also inside the lobby some sketchy looking people . We did not check in and upon exiting we were approached by more beggars. The price is quite high for this dump! Seems unsafe and unkempt. AVOID it. We lost our money for the reservation but chose to be safe!

Friendly staff, and the view was excellent.
The swimming pool was questionable based on location and carpet, plus lack of security cameras i.e. blind spots.
Parking lot does not deter random foot traffic.
Room had microwave, fridge, and complimentary coffee and tea, bathroom had available soap/ conditioner plus towels. Tv is working as well with basic channels for viewing
Overall a good stay.

I have stayed on the 3rd floor before and it was lovely. This time I was on the 4th floor, maintenance was working on their only elevator and I have a disability. Get to the room, had some sort of smell, the whole 4th floor. Electrical sockets didn’t work, the beds were like toddler beds with like a plastic pee protector, couch was all ripped, no tv in the room, there was a person yelling outside my window. I was too tired when i arrived to switch and had to leave shortly after arriving. Overall not impressed with this suite AT ALL. A suite is supposed to be nice, especially for $200 a night.

Maid service only emptied the garbages dueing our stay we had to go to the front desk to get fresh towels, kleenex, coffee and toilet paper for our second night.
