Once you've gained entry you can utilize the sliding glass door to more conveniently move between your vehicle and the casita to transport your personal travel items.Guest accessYou have access to the side gate to gain entry to the casita, the back gate to explore the back grounds, and of course, the parking area directly in front of the casita. Note: if you street park you'll have a better view of the grounds from the sliding glass door of the casita. Walk into an open layout with abundant natural light and a sliding door wall. The furnishings are tastefully colorful yet exceptionally calming.*** This home does require walking down some stairs to access the living room and climbing a ladder to access the second bedroom***Enter the front door to this tri-level home, and you'll find an open living and dining room layout. Straight ahead is the tastefully decorated mid-century living room with a smart television, walk-out sliding doors to our patio, and an open view of the kitchen and dining room.Our kitchen, including all dishes, cooking utensils, and pans, is stocked for your visit. The owners have also supplied a beautiful array of spices for the chef in the family. The dining table provides ample space for eight guests, and a dining table is also offered on the back patio.Before walking down the few steps to the living room and dining room, you will find a small nook to your left with a trundle bed and a small television. REDTAIL HOUSE Is a secluded View Home with wrap around deck and everything a discriminating couple or small family would want to relax, read, prepare meals, and sleep superbly. The Entry opens to the view of the private courtyard with private hot tub. Through the double french doors you will find the large, beautiful, modern Kitchen with island and dining table and seating for four. There you’ll find a well stocked pantry, coffee bar, my personal collection of local art and access to the deck with table and chairs, plus a propane grill and awesome cross-canyon views. Also off of the Entry you'll go up two steps to the very cute Library then pass through double french pocket doors to the Living Room complete with smart TV, Lazy Boy recliner, propane fireplace, piano, writing desk and more art. This sounds grand but it’s a small house that lives large. In the Primary Bedroom is outfitted with a fabulous Cal King bed, closet and chair as well as deck access. The bathroom, just off the hallway, has a wonderfully deep soaking tub with shower. The Second Bedroom has a very comfortable Murphy wall bed single, a chair, closet and another access to the courtyard. In that Courtyard you will find the private spa/hot tub perfect after a long day hiking in Sequoia. There is a separate Laundry Room off of the kitchen and primary bedroom that is well stocked with all the products you’ll need. There is a Tesla charger available for your use at Redtail Cottage (the guest house) and a “Teslatap” adapter for others. IMPORTANT: There are 17 rock steps from the parking to the house level that need to be considered making REDTAIL HOUSE inconvenient for guests with mobility issues. The main floor offers fantastic views of the surrounding mountains and a wrap-around deck to enjoy the outdoors from all sides. The main level also has a brand-new kitchen, two king-sized bedrooms, and two full baths. The bottom floor is great for kids, with a bunk room that can sleep 5 (one bunk is a triple). Next to the bunk room is a fun game room with board games, a keyboard, television, DVDs, and a record player with a collection of classic vinyl. Both levels of the house have their outside entry, so there’s no need to carry luggage up or down any stairs.The newly remodeled house has an eclectic modern flair. The kitchen has all-new stainless steel appliances, beautiful butcher-block countertops, and plenty of dishes and utensils for preparing family feasts!The master bedroom has a king-size bed and a private bathroom with a shower/tub combination.
