Premier Inn Norwich East (Broadlands/A47)

No reflection on the hotel,however one individual Conner gave me the worst customer service on a business trip that iv had over 25 years of using premier inn and was very disrespectful to me giving no customer consideration at all, discussed

Perfectly comfortable and acceptable Premier Inn - EXCEPT - the Standard Premier Inn Free Broadband was so slow as to be virtually unusable. I did a Speed Test (a very slow to work Speed Test!!) and it eventually showed the Broadband Speed was just 0.5Mb Speed!! I complained to Reception and asked for a Free Upgrade to the faster Premier Inn "Ultra" Broadband to enable me to undertake my online tasks properly but was told that as the Free system was working (!) I could not have a Free Upgrade. Out of necessity I then paid for the upgrade! If the Free Premier Inn Broadband is going to be so SLOW then it is hardly worth having it! This is not the first time I have had this problem at Premier Inns recently! It's just the same as the Car Parking Charges that are "creeping in" to MANY Premier Inns now! "Incremental Extras" becoming necessary to pay for. Very soon the name will be changing to "Ryanair Inns"!!

A clean and comfortable hotel, good clean room, comfortable bed, good car parking facilities. Access from Norwich centre was good, by car. Location of hotel is in a developing business area, quite at night. We would certainly stay in the hotel again.

Unfortunately, there was an on-going supply problem affecting the restaurant - we were told it'd been gping on for 2-3 months. A large number of items from both the dinner and the breakfast menus were unavailable and we were given an up-to-date list of unavailable items at check-in. I had a continental brekafast, and each day there were no: muffins, fruit salad, granola, fruit compote, natural yoghurt, butter, pain au chocolat ... . Essentially, all there was were tubs of strawberry yognurt, croissants, bread for toasting, jam, marmalade, apples, satsumas and porridge to order. I appreciate that supply problems like this can happen from time-to-time - the dinner menu, too, had probably less than 50% items available - but what I find very unsatisfactory is that they were still charging the ususal price for continental breakfast. It should've been half price, given the lack of choice.

Another nice 4 night stay at the Broadlands Premier Inn. Room was good as usual. The restaurant staff were also good especially Sherrie and Niki who were there on Christmas morning.. Smiling, welcoming and working hard on this special day. The reason it’s three stars is the supply chain issues with food supplies. Bakery goods were limited and no berries is unforgivable. We hope you get these problems resolved asap. Best wishes to all for the New Year.

We have been staying at this hotel for a couple of years as my parents moved to the area. My husband prefers Premier Inns so it’s always been our first choice. We have always found the rooms to be in a good standard. Well kept and clean. The bed is comfortable . There’s a restaurant/ pub onsite, standard pub grub for the evening and breakfest is served in the morning. Can not fault to be honest. We have had a couple of issues with other guest being disrespectful and keeping us awake or waking us up early. First time was New Year’s Day 2024 ( at 3am) and this then this Christmas break 2024. Each time we reported the issue to sherrie on reception. She has been amazing and is a credit to the team. This Christmas we asked for a room change and Sherrie sorted this for us. We will continue staying at this hotel and would recommend to other friends / family.
