Old Mill Rooms

Booked a 2 night stay here. A warm welcome on arrival. It is a self check in but owners were around. A comfortable bed 😊 iron, ironing board, hairdryer, teas, coffees, milk & biscuits ❤️ nice pub 2 minuted walk away (fox covert) amazing food. We got a taxi (£7) to Yarm High street, well worth a visit. Will be back!!

We had a great experience. The place looks better than the photos. I would like to thank the person who helped me with booking the place, Jessica I believe, as I had a red letter days voucher and it was confusing how to use this on the Red letter website. We spoke with a lady Carmen, who managed the place whilst we were there and she was lovely and friendly. The bed felt a little springy but we actually slept really well in it both nights. Also we visited during a recent heatwave and whilst there were no windows on our room, so we actually had to sleep with our door open, it felt really safe to do so. Great location and lovely and quiet place.

Very relaxing stay, with friendly staff We stayed 1 night in the wood store which has a private hot tub. Very clean room and the hot tub and garden area was clean and well sew decorated. On arrival we were a little early as we wanted to drop our stuff off and pop into York. The hotel manager and cleaner were very welcoming! Chatty, showed us around, very nice ladies. Room was clean and fresh, with a very comfy bed! However it did get rather hot during the night due to the lack of windows/ventilation. As the old ventilation would be to open the main front door. The only other little niggle would be that an extra mat is needed for when walking in from the hot tub into the room. You cant help but get the floor wet especially when its to cold to dry off outside after being in the hot tub. Ample car spaces and well maintained grounds. I booked on AirBnB and unfortunately i didn’t see an option for breakfast. Breakfast would have been a nice addition. Overall, we really enjoyed our night stay and will definitely return! Thank you!

Absolutely fantastic place. Immaculately clean and gorgeous layout. Only staying for one night but what an amazing find. We'll definitely book again and book a room with a hot tub next time. Added bonus is the pub (the fox covert) is literally a 1 minute walk away and serves amazing food & proper beer.

Really peacefull location but to too far shops and bars

Stayed for one night in The Wood Store. The room was so nice, clean and modern. Bed very comfortable and bathroom was spotless. Hot tub was perfect although later on the temperature went down a couple of degrees which on a cold night like it was made it not as cosy. But still a lovely stay. Will stay again 💗
