FRAUDSTERS in Play!!!! Please be careful… I had booked this hotel through MakeMyTrip around 3 months prior the actuk travel date. The booking was confirmed and it was during Attukal Pongala festival season. They waited for us to arrive at hotel, with just the seasonal price hike in mind, they told us “your booking is not valid, if you have an issue, take it up with Makemytrip “ Course of events: 1. A receptionist took the Makemytrip booking, said “let me look for the room”, and started searching for the rooms in their system 2. A Sr. Reception staff came, looked at our booking price and told to the receptionist, check “WE DONT HAVE ROOMS, staring at the person searching the system” 3. They then said in one voice, they had closed their MakeMyTrip account and this was a mistake from MakeMyTrip. This is was completely false because I was able to see their listing on MakeMyTrip as they were saying this. This was all pre-determined to squeeze in some more cash out of festive season bookings They had already backfilled the booked rooms at a higher price during a seasonal spike. I was travelling with my pregnant wife and was stranded on the road because of these money mongers. We were asking them about the ropes tied around the hotel, typically that’s how they block space for attukal pongala. On enquiry, they told us is that, the owner of the hotel had blocked the main areas surrounding hotel for themselves, their family and friends. So when I asked where will the people who had booked the rooms put pongala. Their response was “they can search for some place somewhere else - 500mtrs away in some street” I am writing such a detailed review on this because people who are trying to book Akhil classic (fraudsters) for any seasonal event, make sure you book directly from them or my request is to book somewhere else , this hotel is overrated and overpriced priced, with poor service. There are no senior personnel in the hotel who can help you out during any such crisis, there were only a couple of dumbass people who were saying the same thing over and over again, stating they had closed their account with MakeMyTrip. Pretext: We had been booking the same hotel every year from 2018. I am guessing, some management change had happened some time post-corona season. This event that I mentioned happened during February 2024. What changed recently? 1. Poor service - ruthless and careless staff 2. Food quality had deteriorated significantly (There was a time in 2018, when Akhil classic staff would pack our breakfast and keep it separately for us to complete the festival activities and wait for us to complete the pongala. They used to help us set up pongala, guide us and support us. Fast forward to now, they don’t care if we eat, complete the ritual or stray on the road!!!! If the FRAUDSTERS from Akhil classic are reading this , instead of stranding a family with a pregnant person on the road, you could have asked for a some extra premium stating there is a
